(Oct. 15)
Today is officially the worst year ever. My two year long crush moved to our school's rival school. But then why did he have to leave right when i could finally see him? I only saw him for about two weeks, and boom... he was gone. I remember crying in the bathroom for an hour and venting to my older sister, Belle. Dan was literally almost my ideal type; tall, nice hair, bad boy, perfect jaw line, and athletic. The perfect "description"...
I slowly walk through the halls with my sister, who was a junior, waiting for the bell to ring. I had no energy to smile or laugh. All I could think about was Dan, Dan, and Dan. The silence of the hallways surround me as if I was a useless living thing. I glide through the halls like a dead ghost, haunting the building.
"Oh stop it." Belle complained. "You've been acting like a dead, soulless person ever since you found out that Dan moved."
I looked at her with my black soulless eyes. "Cause I am dead. It's been a year since I haven't seen him and when I finally have the chance to see him..." I clench my fists. "He had to move! Do you know how that feels?"
Belle continued to look at me like I was a complete idiot. Her black braided ponytails swinged onto her shoulders. "Dude, he doesn't even know you. And you don't even know him- well, I mean you stalk him. But that does not count." She waved her hand in front of my face. "Get over him. School just barely started, you'll find more boys here."
"Where? There's no cute nor attractive guys here so far!" I stomped my feet in frustration. But before I could continue, the bell rang and students started to piled up in the hallways.
"Well, I'll see you after school then. Good luck with your day." Belle walked away, leaving me stranded in the sea of people.
I held in my anger as I walked to my first class: Mixed Choir.
After succeeding in going through the sea of humans, I greet my teacher, Mrs.Tana, before going in. I walk to my seat where I sit next to my best friend, Mary. She looked at me with concern in her eyes. I sat down and took a deep breath. The whole class time was just singing and learning music. I have a huge interest in music, because of the genre of music I love: Kpop (which stands for Korean Pop). But choir is choir, not pop.
First period ended and we headed towards our second period; AP Human Geography. Mr. Brome sat at his desk, as usual as we entered the class. Our other friends: Ariel, Ella, Tiana and Emma, were already there and seated. They don't know about myself and what is happening, because I'm not really that close to them.
"Okay, class. I am going to put you guys into groups so you can study Chapter 1 and Chapter 2 of the textbook." Mr. Brome looked at us. "Also, I will be handing out a review packet so you guys can answer them with your groups."
Mr.Brome keeps reminding me of that character from Despicable Me. The guy that lives with the minions. If Mr. Brome had a scarf, he would be perfect.
He began to call out names and I was separated from my friends. I got put into a group where there were mostly boys. There was only me and one girl named, Lynn. I looked at the boys I was assigned with. Drew: blondish, brownish short hair, a chubby body, white skinned and round eyes. Drake: bronze skin, black messy hair, very round eyes and a light jawline. Edgar: brown hair, small eyes with glasses and tanned skin. Nope, none of them were attractive. I pouted and rolled my shoulders back.
"I'm joining this group." a voice interrupted my thoughts. I look up to see a boy with tanned but white skin, cropped black hair, and a perfect square jaw line, connecting his desk to ours.
"Christopher!" Drew yelled. "You're not in our group. Go to your group."
The boy named Christopher chuckled. "Who cares? I'm here now." he looked at everyone. "And plus, the more people, the merrier."
I rolled my eyes at his remarkable comment. Who was this guy? He seemed like those popular guys... but he's okay I guess. We continued to review and the boys were too slow. Lynn and I just helped each other and went ahead.
"Hey Lynn!" Christopher looked at us. "We're suppose to work as a group!" He looked at me and furrowed his eyes, but continued to speak. "Okay, so for number 12... I got A."
"I also got A." replied Drew. Drake nodded in agreement and Edgar stayed silent.
Christopher looked at me. "What was your name again?"
I stuttered and replied quietly. "Cherie."
"What?" He asked. He moved closer to me. "Cherie?"
I nodded without talking. Then he pointed his finger at me and chuckled. "You don't talk too much, do you?" his white teeth reminded me of Jack Frost.
I notice myself staring at his teeth and quickly looked away. I awkwardly shrugged my shoulders, not knowing how to respond after staring at his teeth. But in my mind...Yes, I'm not a social person and I don't like talking to strangers. But you have nice teeth.
He then started pointing fingers at the other kids and began to comment them. I looked at Mary who was in a group with nobody she knows either. We both look at each other with pleading eyes, hoping for it to quickly be over.
It took about 40 minutes until we could go back to our seats. I quickly walked to my seat. I hated to be with people i don't know. But at least we managed to get some work done. The boys in my group just mostly talked the whole time. I looked at the boy named Christopher.
I silently looked at his features. He reminds me of a boy that I liked last year besides Dan. I think his name was Tom. And their voices should a bit the same, however Tom's voice was a bit higher.
The way Christopher smiled looked exactly like Tom's. Bright white teeth and pink thin lips. I shook my head. No,Tom moved last year, two weeks before school ended. I forgot about that. I remember how I cried after school when I learned that he moved;
~~~~~
I overheard a guy in my Honors Math talking about Tom. "Didn't you know? Tom moved."
My heart shattered after hearing all the rumors. After school was over, me and Mary walked to the church nearby to wait for our parents.
I asked her, "Did you know that Tom moved?" She looked at me with a surprised face.
"He moved?!" her shocked voice, awakened my inner self and I began to tear up.
"Yeah, apparently, he moved on Monday this week..." I covered my face as the tears start to flow. "I'm sorry, I'm crying over a boy."
"Aww, not it's alright." Mary hugged me and I started to cry even more.
The thought of someone I really liked leaving, hurted me. I was never going to see him again. And I mean, I heard that he might've liked me too. Why didn't he confess if he really liked me? Why didn't I try to get closer to him? All my anger and sadness started to blame him. But I know, deep inside that none of this could've been prevented. We were just classmates. We don't even talk to each other. There was no hope in the beginning.
It was my first time crying for a boy....
~~~~~~~~~~
But no, I had to forget about him since he has already moved on and has a girlfriend. I think I might get over Dan one day also. Although I'm still not over both of them.
I cleared my thoughts and turned away. No, this year I'm going to have less drama and less attention. I am going to do it!
