Your fist stung like the acid that spilt from your belly and into the sand,
That day did the dogs howl at the morning sun
That churned the sea into a muddy red.
A reminder of the crimes born like children from your hands.
You left a stain on that town;
At the edge of the world did you dare to lean a little too close.
To sacrifice a life so tainted and eroded by saltwater-
You kept your decomposing body hidden,
Beneath the robe made of the cartilage and entrails of the bodies you've slain.
The blazing heat of the summer sun cooked you through and through,
I dug and clawed but I could not find you,
I have not slept in years.
By now the earth has opened up and swallowed all we have known and soon the light will follow suit and the evidence of your crimes will wash away like the death of a star
