I'd only ever once been in love. It was awful. He was an awful man, who hated everything, and everyone. I'm not sure why I loved him in the first place, but I know my mother never like him anyways. She told me 'there was no point in loving if there would be no love in return'.

At first I believed she was just as cold hearted as she was said to be. So we made a wager. If I could get the man to love me, then I would never have to remember her, never have to be with her. I'd never have to live with the snow as she wanted.

But if I could not, then I would forever be followed by my own storm of sorrow. A blistering cry for help over the raging winds.

I lost the wager, I found that a man who's heart was only as cold as my mothers, truly could not love. So ever since I've been followed by this storm, I shall forever be followed by this storm. There is no escape unless I find love... but who would fall in love with the daughter of a villain?
