Part I • Chapter X

Start from the beginning

The other men were still laughing and roughhousing while claiming spots at the sink and showers furthest from the door. No one appeared to have noticed that he hadn't joined their in on their merrymaking or became aware of my presence here.

Derrick made a wait gesture towards me with his hand and without missing a beat, he walked over to one of the men, grabbed his boxers and pulled them down to the man's ankles before spinning on his heel and walking away nonchalantly.

The man screeched in fury and lunged towards Derrick, before falling to his face.

I didn't stick around to watch the rest, my chance had arrived! While the rest of the group laughed at their fallen comrade, I quickly jumped at the opportunity and made my escape.

There was a sitting area at the end of this hallway as well, and from what I could see out of the window, the sun wasn't even coming up over the horizon yet, which indicated that it was still early in the morning.

If I was careful, I would probably be able to sneak back into my room without anyone noticing my disappearance. Plus, I had escaped from any kind of bathroom awkwardness, thanks to Derrick. I had taken a relaxing bath and it felt nice. Sure, my arms and legs were kind of sore but I no longer felt like death. And although I was naked other than my towel, I was actually starting to feel pretty optimistic about the day.

I was just about skipping down the hallway.

My luck must finally be improving!

"Song!"

Seriously?

I glanced down the hallway and spotted Greg walking towards me fast. The beginning of the hallway, where it branched off from the elevator landing, seemed so far away and there was the fact that Greg was between me and safety. I wouldn't be able to make it to the elevator anyway, do I go back into the bathroom?

Somehow I wasn't sure what was worse, Greg or the group of men inside.

I eyed the door to the room I had just escaped from, internally debating. There was the fact that Derrick, who wasn't an awful person, was in the bathroom too...

Apparently I took too long deciding, because Greg had now caught up to me. I could sense him only feet away. I bit my lip, clutched my towel around me tightly and turned back around slowly.

Maybe if I let him down gently and made it completely clear that I was in no way going to go anywhere with him... Surely he would leave me alone.

"Hello..." My voice was hardly a whisper. I was so scared, but he had gotten close enough to me now so he could hear me clearly. Something inside of me screamed at me, warning me that this guy was bad news.

"So Song-"

"My name is Sang..." I normally hated to interrupt people. However, his complete lack of disregard about my name actually bothered me a lot.

He could at least get my name right if he wanted to date me so badly.

"Again, same thing." He brushed off my response with a shrug and stepped closer to me, successfully pinning me to the wall with his body as I tried to back further away. "So here we are! Alone at the Capital."

Ok? Where was he going with this? Obviously we were at the Capital.

"Yes, it would appear that we have arrived in one piece." I went with being agreeable for the time being, maybe he was just trying to be nice.

I should have just stuck with washing in the sink. No bath was worth all this drama, not even a bath that was as glorious as that one.

Besides, maybe if I smelled then guys like Greg would be so repulsed they would stay away.
