You don't say good night anymore. You used to say it every night Any chance you got No matter the time Or the place, You used to say goodnight.
When we went out You always said the same thing Drive safe, Call me when you get home, Goodnight. You don't know if I get home safe anymore.
I tried calling but you were always busy Or you just let it ring. Is it even a shock anymore When you pass the bakery were I work. Do you miss the treats I would make special for you? Do you remember what they tasted like?
Do you even miss me Or do you just miss how I made you feel? Do you look to our time together And wish you could go back Or are you glad I'm in your past? Am I just another stepping stone?
I'm sorry if you felt like you wasted your time on me, I was trying to love you the best I could. You're still one of my favorite people And I'm glad you used to care for me. It comforts me that you wanted me to be safe And I miss your voice when you'd say
Goodnight.
