Chapter 5 – Being Nasty

[Natalie's POV]

"Don't even dare to come near me," I threatened them, acting all cool and calm like my public self, but these guys looked like monsters, so I couldn't quite hide the fact that I was nervous.

They started to come near me and it scared me like hell. I yelled because they started to touch me. And of course, I struggled but I could see that my effort was wasted. These were jocks. Drunk jocks. I knew that there was no stopping them.

I mentally blamed the school for allowing the students to drink inside the campus.

"Natalie Adams," said the other brunette jock, "You're so fine," my shirt was ripped from the back, obviously because of their fault. They had trouble getting my shorts undone because I kicked and kicked. The blonde started to run his hands through both of my legs which I found disgusting. Only Adam could do that to me.

Wait. Did I just say Adam?

No, Natalie, he was not going back to you, you let him go, remember?

I hated it when a part of my brain kept talking to me. It was pretty irritating.

Then after a few minutes, a knight in shining armor came to rescue me. He didn't really have an armor on but his presence was something that I had found rather hard to believe. I found myself staring at him so much that I thought my eyes would come out of their sockets. Dirty blonde hair, green-spring eyes, perfectly tanned skin, muscular body, he was ... perfect. He looked like he just came out of a "How to Get Abs" magazine.

"Hey punks," he called the attention of the jocks and I thought that he was insane because he didn't know what he was doing. There were three of them and only one of him. He was going to be a punching bag. I just knew it.

But he knew what he was doing after all. For a second there, I thought that he was an idiot but much to my surprise, he handled himself pretty well. The blonde jock was the first one to tackle him. He just punched him like he was a pillow. The pillow fell unconscious on his back.

The other brunette, the one who ripped my shirt, tackled him, but the guy just kicked his abdomen and just like the blonde, he fell to the ground.

"You got the guts, dude," said the knight to the last jock beside me. We just stared with shock. I didn't really know who the knight in shining armor was. I was pretty sure that he was not from our school. Maybe he was a friend of somebody from here. But he was the one who got the guts. Beating up two jocks by his self with two single blows...it was pretty amazing. "I will not beat you up. I just need the girl,"

I immediately stood up, knowing that the brunette beside me wouldn't do anything. He was petrified, I thought.

"Let's go," the knight in shining armor told me. The custom armor that he wore was a white shirt with a black leather jacket. He offered his jacket to me. I didn't hesitate to take it because my shirt was ripped off and I thought that it smelled good. "What's your name?" he asked me.

"Natalie," I answered.

"I'm Luke," he somehow reminded me of Adam when I first met him, handsome, perfect, and at the same situation. I smiled thinking of how Adam saved me. They both got blonde hair except for Luke who got more streaks of brown hair and Adam's eyes were blue whilst Luke's eyes were green.

"You're not from here, right?" I asked him, making sure that I was right that he was just a visitor.

"Yeah," he said, looking at me. "But I'll transfer here," he immediately changed the subject, "Hey, do you wanna dance?"

"Sure," it was hard to say no to a guy who just saved you. He was really like Adam who invited me to his house whilst Luke invited me to dance. Maybe, I could have Luke...and Hayley could have Adam. After all, they had something in common.

Damn, I was thinking about getting together with a guy who I just met.

A song was played, Luke and I then went to the dancefloor.

"I'm sitting in a room made up of only big white walls and in the hall there are

People looking through the window in the door they know exactly what we're here for

Don't look up just let them think there's no place else you'd rather be

You're always on display for everyone to watch and learn from don't you know by now

You can't turn back, cause this road is all you'll ever have."

"How do you know where I was?" I asked him whilst we were dancing like freaks. Yeah, we looked dumb. But it was just a small matter so we didn't mind anyway. The girls looked at Luke, checking him out. It was crazy. It was like they were getting him naked in their minds.

"I was looking for someone then I heard you scream," he answered. So, I did scream then? Of course, who wouldn't have?

"It's obvious that you're dying dying

Just living proof that the camera's lying

And oh oh open wide this is your night so smile

Cause you'll go out in style, you'll go out in style"

Luke and I decided to cut our little crazy-freak-show- dancing. He was holding my hand and I couldn't help but smile.

We were planning on walking around the campus so I could tour him around the school. But we saw something I didn't want to see.

It was Adam and Hayley making out, eating each other's faces in one of the corridors. I could still remember when I was in Hayley's place. But maybe Luke would get me out of it, he looked good too.

When we were about to turn around for them to continue their business, I was dazzled in shock because Luke muttered a word, "Adam?" that caught Adam and Hayley off guard, they stopped their make-out session. I stared at Luke wondering why he knew Adam Matthews.

Adam Matthews looked at our intertwined hands. I swore to God I just saw a hint of hurt in his eyes. Why was he hurt anyway? I thought we were just friends...with benefits, or maybe almost strangers with benefits since I only knew him for just three days.

Adam started to speak up, and was also in shock, "Luke? Why are you with Natalie?"

"W-Wait," I said. "You know each other?"

"Yeah," Luke answered. I was like drenched in cold water when I heard what he said next, "We're brothers."
