Rooftop

Damian POV 

Damian stood on the roof looking out at the ocean below the Tower, he was trying to calm himself after what happened earlier when he was remembering Slade's taunting. 

Slade the man who killed my grandfather, who nearly killed my mother and Grayson, who tortured me, who had threatened my friends.....he was gone....he'd never harm me again

Damian had thought that this would make him happy to see Slade dead but it hadn't it only made him feel empty.......just empty......he felt so alone but then he remembered 

I'm not alone

Damian started to smile lightly as he thought of his family, his friends, those who love him and those he.........those he loved as well 

Father, Grayson, Todd, Drake, Barbara, Fatgirl, Alfred, Jaime, Garfield (even though he's annoying to no end), Koriandr, and......and.....

Raven 

I don't know what's wrong with me? Why do I feel this way whenever I think of her ? My heart starts beating faster and I feel strange feelings in my chest something as if I'm lighter, I don't know what it is....I love my family! I'd die for any  of them! 

But Raven.....I feel different......it's not like I'd die for her but instead......I'd.....I'd live for her 

Damian smiled as he realized what he was feeling 

Love....

I'm in love with Raven 

Damian's heart started to pound in his chest it was beating so hard and fast he felt as if it would burst out of chest at any moment

Damian's smile faded however as mind was suddenly filled with "what ifs" 

What if she doesn't like me? 

What if she hates me? after all my fault since Slade came after us 

Damian sighed  

This is what I mean, anytime I think about her I get all flustered and can't think straight it's as if she takes absolute precedence in my mind...ugh

Damian was so annoyed with himself and his thoughts that he didn't notice Raven floating  up to the roof and going up to him 

"Hey Damian" the empath said as she stood beside him 

"Ahh!" Damian yelped as he reflexively jumped back a little, Damian saw that it was only Raven and let out a sigh of relief 

"Sorry about that didn't mean to scare you" Raven said as she offered her hand 

"No, it's nothing I was just thinking and you caught me off guard" Damian said casually as he took Raven's hand and she pulled him up 

As she pulled him up Raven and Damian's eyes locked with each other again just like they did at the carnival last year 

"Ohh umm thanks" Damian said as he was looking away trying to hide the fact that he was blushing 

"Yeah uhh no problem" Raven said as she looked down at her feet trying to hide that she was blushing too.

Raven POV

Raven looked down at her feet blushing 

Ugh why am I blushing? All we did was make eye contact! 

Raven looked back up and looked out over the sea, she could tell something was wrong with Damian he felt off as if there was something ripping him up inside his mind.
