XIV - Confused

Brent's POV

Hindi ako dumiretso ng uwi pagkatapos kong ihatid sila Veronica sa kanila. I went to Donnie's bar instead because I feel like I need some drinks now to clear my mind.

Pumasok agad ako when I got there at malayo pa lang ay nakita ko na si Liam sa counter. Nagtatrabaho kasi siya dito as a bar tender during his free time. Donnie hired him because he also saw na may knowledge din talaga si Liam when it comes to drinks. Lasenggo kasi 'yan.

"Hey! So you're still alive, huh?" The asshole, I mean Liam greeted me nang makalapit ako sa counter. "Sa susunod kasi na magba-basketball ka, try mo ring mag helmet. 'Yun nga lang magmumukha kang Power Ranger but that's better kesa mabagok ka, right? HAHAHA!" He added sabay tawa ng malakas. Gago 'to ah. Siya lang naman natawa sa sinabi niya.

"Actually dapat patay na ako ngayon. My soul was about to enter the Hell but they didn't let me in. Sunduin daw muna kita para may bagong hari na sila!" I shot back which made him laugh harder. Para talagang tanga 'to! Natuwa pa sa sinabi ko eh.

"Grabe ka naman, bro. Nabagok ka lang, pikon ka na." Natatawang sabi niya pa rin. "Bakit ka ba kasi nandito, ha?"

"Malamang, iinom ako! Bar 'to 'di ba?!" I snapped.

He chuckled. "So, what do you want to drink? Tequila, vodka, and oh here!" He said and showed me a bottle of an expensive brand of alcoholic drink.

But I shoved all those suggestions. "Just give me a glass of Coke and put some rum in it."

"What? You're a girl now?" Liam teased. Hindi nga naman kasi usual sa amin na uminom ng ganito ka-light. But I'm not planning to get drunk tonight so I'll just have that.

"I don't want to get drunk. Magda-drive pa ako pauwi. And besides, I'm only drinking to clear my mind at hindi para lalong sumakit ang ulo ko."

Liam prepared my drink and while waiting for him I felt someone tapped my shoulder. "Bro! Haven't seen you in a while, huh." Si Donnie pala.

"Yeah. Hindi pa tayo nagkita the last time we went here." I agreed.

Liam served my drink and just like him, nagtanong din sa akin si Donnie about my drink. So again, I told him that I'm just drinking to clear my mind.

"Ganon?" He said then turned to Liam. "You, get a bottle of tequila for us. Samahan natin uminom 'tong si Brent."

"Yon! Haha! Coming, sir." Liam told what he was told to do and served their bottle of tequila with two shot glasses.

"So, what's bothering you? Bakit napainom ka bigla?" Donnie asked before he drank the contents of his shot glass.

Liam is also looking at me like he was waiting kung anong sunod na sasabihin ko. I sighed before telling them what's bothering me.

"Guys. . . I think. . . I'm kind of attracted to my brother's girlfriend." Pag-amin ko sa kanila.

Ewan ko ba, sandali pa lang naman kaming magkakilala but I think there's something in her that caught my eye and I didn't really know na posible 'yon since Veronica is not the type of girl na nagugustuhan ko. I mean, she's smart, beautiful, and all but she's not just like the usual girls who can catch my eye.

Donnie and Liam just stared at me for a few moments until a mischievous smile escaped from both of their lips. Biglang tumawa ng malakas si Liam while Donnie just chuckled and shook his head.

"Jesus, Brent! So you're telling me na gusto mo na si Veronica?" Liam managed to ask between his laughter. "Kaya pala ha. . ." He said again before giving me another taunting smile.
