A promise made
Keeping true.
To taste your lips,
To hold you close.
Another day
Seems like a ghost.
Your lips on hers,
You touch her still.
Will you be mine?
You say you will.
A promise made,
A promise kept.
Another day.
I haven't slept.
To taste your lips,
To feel your skin.
Does she love you
Like I can?
To pull you close,
To hold you near,
Will I get the chance,
I won't I fear.
She had your child
I never will.
An endless battle,
An endless him.
Another day,
Another time.
For you have your,
And I have mine.
