Surprisingly, there was no huge fanfare about my arrival.

That also could have been because of the fact that I had been escorted into the room with six formidable looking men.

Sure, people were looking at me, which I disliked enough, but at least there was no gasping, pointing, shouts, or fainting. So that was progress.

Dr Green introduced me to another giant of a man named North. His black hair, black eyes and ensemble made up entirely of even more black made more intimidating-looking than any of the others. North nodded at me as I sat beside him, and then put his arm over the back of my seat.

It made me a bit uncomfortable at first, but after he didn't say or do anything else except converse normally with the men around me, and they weren't too concerned about it, I refused to let it bother me.

"Dinner is served!"

Two plates were set in front of me with a flourish by the long-haired blonde. He had playful brown eyes and his hair was pulled back into a tie.

The other man, who gave me a wave, was a brunette with eyes that reminded me of fire.

The blonde gave an elaborate fake bow and introduced himself. "My name is Luke, and this good fellow is-"

The other man caught his cue and finished the sentence with a slight grin. "Victor."

"Thank you." I eyed my plates and noticed they had given me a wide variety of foods, much more than I would be able to finish in one sitting. I saw North was looking at the food with a displeased frown on his face.

"Luke, what the fuck is this?" He asked, as he pointed a finger at one of the plates. It appeared to be full of chocolate covered fruits.

As delicious as the rest of the food smelled, it had been years since I last tasted chocolate. It was an expensive delicacy and was not something my family could frequently afford. In fact, I think the last chocolate I had eaten was given to me the same year I got the clothes I had worn to the reaping.
