Spring Break(Part 1)

"So let's say DJ tried to come back in the picture?" I eyed Lucas a little. Wanting to hear this, but tried not to make it obvious

"Dominic is a cheater, a liar, and a bitch. But one thing he isn't, is stupid. I am willing to loose everything behind your sister. I'll kill for her. So if he wants to put himself in that predicament, he better know what he's getting himself into. Dominic or DJ or whoever is going to have to get through me to get to her" I smiled to myself

"My man" Ethan shook his hand. "I fuck with you man. Any dude that is willing to die, to even fight behind my sister, is a keeper" Ethan smiled and looked at me. "I think you found a keeper this time" then he left

"Sorry about that"

"It's okay. He's your brother. Be happy he cares about you" Lucas said and got on his phone.

"You're amazing you know that?"

"And so are you." He kissed my cheek.

"Let's go" I said and went back downstairs with him.

Everybody was eating and laughing

"So who was going to tell me the food was done?" I asked. I went into the kitchen and fixed a plate

"Want some?"

"Yea. I'll fix it" Lucas said washing his hands.

"A man who's willing to fix his own food. Very hard to come by" Mrs. Linda said eating.

"Well Lucas is VERY different from a lot of other boys" I smirked at him and he winked at me.

"Or he's just as typical as these other niggas" lourie said shrugging

"Shut the hell up!" I said rolling my eyes at her

"Language ken" Cheryl said with wide eyes

"I'll ignore that" lourie smiled devilishly

"You're so goddamn evil" I shook my head and sat down

"Lourie stop. Kenyanna stop" pops said with a fake smile. "No reason to act like that in front of our guest"

"He's no guest of mines" lourie said eating

"Baby? Can you stop?" Johnathan asked her lowly

"Can you not tell me what to do? Thanks!"

"Can you stop talking to him like that? He's not a child!" I looked at her

"Can you mind your damn business!?"

"Ken. Leave it alone. Calm down." Lucas whispered in my ear. I calmed down and sat back without responding.

"Somebody got her trained finally." She stated

"One more sly remark and I'm slapping that bitch" I whispered to Lucas. He looked at me like I was crazy, but nodded his head like he understood.

"So! Lucas about your family?" Cheryl asked

"Well what do you want to know?" He asked still eating

"Just give us a little summary"

"Well I'm from down here. I have a brother, but he's not around any more. I live with my mother, my father left a long time ago. I was a child so I don't remember much about him. Yea that's it" he shrugged

"Did ken ever meet your people?" Lourie asked. I shifted in my seat and Lucas just held my hand and squeezed it to calm me

"No not yet. We actually planned to stop there after we leave here"

"So why can't y'all sleep over at your house?"

"Well Mrs. Carter. Can I call you lourie? Our home isn't as nearly as beautiful or spacious as this ones. And I wouldn't feel comfortable letting my girlfriend be in there if I'm not even comfortable in there"

"First no you can not call me Lourie. And the size or looks of your house should not matter. Are you using ken for her money or for her sex?"

"Bit-" Lucas cut me off by covering my mouth

"With all due respect. I would never use somebody I care about. Your sister and I have a deep connection and ill do anything for her. I'll giver her my last, and I don't have much. But I'll make a way out of no way for her. I attend grambling on a full ride academic scholarship, so far I'm number 1 in my class and medical schools already want me! I'm bettering myself. At first it was for me, then I met ken now it's all for her" Lucas said rubbing my hand. I smiled. Pops nodded his head and ate.

"Nice answer. How long did it take you to write that!" Lourie still wouldn't ease up. I stood up, but this time Lucas didn't stop me

"I gave you a chance to redeem yourself, but I see you begging for an ass whipping" I said taking off my earrings

"Well you haven't changed. You know what they say. You can take the girl out the ghetto, but never the ghetto out of the girl" she laughed sipping her water

"WHAT!?" I ran to her in full speed but Odell quickly got up and held me back

"Calm down ken! She ain't worth it!" He said holding me back

"That's my cue. I guess this party is over" she said standing up and putting on her coat as if she knew I wasn't going to hit her.

"Lourie...." pops said lowly. She turned around slowly

"Yes pops?"

"You know what I have to say. We'll talk later"

"I guess we will. Bye everyone. Have a nice night ken!" She winked at me then walked out with Jonathan.

"I'm so sorry about that Lucas" Mrs, Linda said getting up

"No it's fine. It's fine. I've met her before, I'm not exactly her cup of tea"

"And she's not mine" I said calming down and fixing my clothes

"DAMN!" Ethan yelled. We all looked at him

"What?" Odell asked

"I wanted to see lourie get her ass beat damn" everybody laughed

"I had $20 on ken" Odell laughed

"You had $20, I had $100" pops laughed too

"Y'all not right. Not even giving poor lourie a chance" Mrs. Linda laughed

"Right! Y'all never know what somebody could do in that moment" Cheryl laughed

"It's lourie though. And it's ken. That's like so unfair"Ethan shook his head

"I would've went easy on her" I said sitting in Lucas' lap. Everybody smacked their lips then laughed

We played games and talked for a while, but then Lucas and I had to get ready to meet his family. Hope it's not as crazy as this
