It's spring break finally! I was so stressed out from school, making sure everything was done before break. Everybody was just so wild and crazy, it was hard to keep up.
I put my last suitcase in the trunk of my range. I was going back to New Orleans to visit the family, I guess. It'll be good to see everybody, especially Ethan. I missed him a lot, I guess because he hasn't called me yet. I pulled out of my apartment parking lot and drove slowly through campus, then I seen Lucas walking.
"Where you going Lucas?" I asked rolling down my window
"Oh uhm I was going get my stuff to go home" he said nervously
"Oh you're going see your family too? Where are you from?" I asked putting the car in park
"New Orleans"
"WHAT? ME TOO! Oh my god! I could take you home if you want" I smiled
"Uhm that's nice, but my mother is coming and I don't wanna u-"
"Lucas. You're lying your ass off. Just come in, and you can meet my family too. If you would like to that is" I offered
"Okay" he said and got in the car
I drove off and bought him to his dorm to get his stuff. He only came back with one bag
"You only bought one bag?" I laughed a little
"I'm a light traveler" he said and left it alone. So did I
The entire ride was quiet, but not awkward. Not awkward at all. I appreciated quiet while I drove so I put down my window and put my arm out.
"That's kind of dangerous" he laughed
"Whatttt? It's kind of not" I seen a sign that I missed so much that read, 'Welcome to the city of New Orleans'
"I miss home lowkey" I smiled
"I don't. I liked my ticket away from here"
"I mean it's good to get away, but there's no place like home" I smiled at him but he turned his head.
"We're almost to my house. You're going to love my family. Please excuse lourie though"
"Your whole family is going to be here?"
"Well yeah. They take this spring break shit serious. Especially since me and my brother coming home to visit. Oh they probably about to have a party"
"Wow" he said then shifted in his seat
"Don't be nervous. They're nice people when you get to know them. They don't mean to do no harm on purpose" I joked. He fake laughed
I pulled into the driveway to see everybody's car there and some extras.
"Yep. It's a party" i shook my head. Lucas looked at my house in amazement.
"What?" I asked
"Look at this place"
