Oh I love Germany - Part I

Start from the beginning

"So ano plan bukas?" She asked me. It's her first time to be in Europe so I could really feel how she's looking forward in everything in this vacation.

"We'll go to Konigsalle tomorrow. It's really nice there, we could go there for a walk and take pictures. They also have shopping malls there so you could start buying pasalabong for your family." I started...

"Definitely Rhine Embankment Promenade also since it's a riverside, we can eat a meal by the river there ." I finished.

Maymay just nodded as she laid down on the bed. I bet she's tired so I decided to just leave her for now as it will be busy tomorrow.

"Good night Maymay. Rest well."

The next day, I woke up hearing Maymay and Laura's loud voices. I went out of my room and there they were tickling each other on our living room couch. I saw my dad stood up from his seat and got his stuff for work.

"Sorry Maymay, I couldn't be with you this week since I have work. But I aasure you, I'll make it up to you this weekend." My dad, Kevin, told her.

"Okay lang po, Tito! 2 weeks pa ako dito, we have time" She reassured my dad that everything was okay.

My dad left for work, while my mom has work at home so she chose to just stay and finish her stuff. Meanwhile, Laura prepared herself for her internship.

So today, I have Maymay all to myself. And so we made our way to Konigsalle!

Konigsalle was a busy street in Dusseldorf. It consists of many shops and cafés where in people could just chill and hangout. Maymay asked me to take a photo of her right in front of their famous river, which was in between trees. I love seeing her enjoy every minute we were in Konigsalle. We just walked around and stopping in between for pictures. It was tiring but just seeing her laugh and smile energizes me. We didn't eat there as we planned to eat at our next destination so we just went to a street cafe to rest and had snacks.

"So how's Germany so far, May?" I asked her. I'm curious you know, I mean, I was waiting for this to happen. Even our fans do too.

"Hay nako. Sobrang salamat na niyaya mo ko. Ang ganda ganda, naiiyak nga ako sa sobrang tuwa! Pero naalala ko sila Mama Ludy, I'm sure magugustuhan rin nila dito. Yung walang polusyon" Maymay shared. As much as I want to, I want her family to visit too. Someday.

"I'm sure it will happen. Soon!" I smiled at her. "Let's go?" I asked her since I noticed that she finished the Brotchen bread she bought.

"Wait lang! Picture-an mo ako while having coffee o!" Maymay asked me and so I did. I felt like everything she did was captured today. It was fun.

We drove then to our second location, the Rhine Embankment Promenade. But first, we looked for a restaurant since eating bread wasn't enough.

"I'll order for you, May ha." We were now seated at our table in the restaurant. It was an outdoor area and right in front of us was the ocean. It looked beautiful and calming, I thought. Maymay gave me worried look.

"No May, I won't order gulay for you." I gave her a reassuring smile.

The server approached us which I told him what we would want.

"Can I get one Rouladen and a Schnitzel for her? We'll get water as well." The server then left. After a couple of minutes, our food was served. As we ate, Maymay and I talked as if it there was no tomorrow. There's always something to talk about with her. Besides that, what's interesting was that I always learn from her. She's  always so full of wisdom. I guess it's probably one of the reasons why I have fallen for her.

After we're done eating, we just walked again and took pictures as we stroll the place. If only I could hold her hand already. Control Edward, control. Holding her hand as we walk would have been perfect. But that has to wait, I have to make it special. I don't want to rush it. We then stopped and stood right in front of the railings, in which the ocean was facing us. Here, we would watch the sunset before we leave.

"Picture tayo! Wacky ha!" Maymay already set her phone in front of us and we posed as crazily as possible. She checked the photo after and giggled.

"Nakakatawa ka! Parang baboy talaga. Char!" She joked.

"Hey, you look like a manok. You have always looked like one. Char din!" And we both laughed since I don't really say 'char' in my everyday conversation. Just now.

Silence took over as she looked away and enjoyed the view in front of us. Her smile never leaving her face. Oh Maymay, you have no idea how happy I am that you're finally here in Germany. It's only our first day to stroll here but the joy you have given me is too much. In the five years of being her best friend/her ka-loveteam/her colleague/, she has brought nothing but positivity in my life. I wasn't the shy Edward in the beginning of PBB, she has helped me grow and taught me that it is okay to be yourself because that's what matters the most. And now, I can't wait to tell you how I  really feel because I want you to be mine, not as friends, but more than that.

"Anong tinitignan mo? May dumi ba ako sa mukha?" Maymay was confused since I was just staring at her as I had these thoughts. I needed to come up with a good excuse. Edward, you have embarrassed yourself again.

"Maymay, there's a bug on your forehead." And so Maymay shook her whole body as she shooed away the "bug" that I told her about. Of course, I was just joking to avoid the awkwardness. She continued to jumped around and asking me if it was gone. The way she was jumping around was so funny, I could cry.

"Wala na, May." I tried to control my laughter.

She gave me a death glare and shook her head, she was annoyed. "Nakakabuang ha". I heard her mutter.

It's always a laugh with Maymay.

*Was just so happy how Edward posted so much Maymay related birthday posts on his social media that I got inspired to write. Oh young love, char! But I definitely love the friendship between them! Even if he doesn't admit it, it shows how special Maymay is to him. Yun lang! Hope you enjoyed the first part of "Oh I love Germany"! Again, belated Happy Birthday, Maymay!!*
