You think I never said I love you,
Because I didn't mention,
The three words you ached to hear,
So you thought my feelings weren't real.
That truth is that I say I love you all the time.
I say it when I give you the best and last piece of the strawberry cake we both love.
I say I love you when I am soaking wet while I hold an umbrella for you.
I say it when I listen to you talk about the things you love, with your eyes glistening with the light shining above. I say I love you when we are both tired, and still I drive so you can rest all the trip home. I say I love you when I buy flowers in my way, to give them to you when I see you face. Those are the I love you's that matter, because they are shown by actions of the heart and not words told as beautiful lies.
