She was the girl with stars in her eyes,
She was the girl whose smile shined so bright.
And when it rains I see her in the skies,
Cause when things were bad, she made everything seem so right.
She was the girl with stories in her heart,
She was the girl who knew all of mine.
She always loved the sunsets in the beach,
she said there was a world out there that no one could reach.
She was the girl who wanted to fly,
but the world cut her wings to make her cry.
Still she stood strong against any foes,
cause she was the girl with dreams and hopes.
She was the girl I wanted to meet,
She was the girl I wish I had never seen.
Cause if I hadn't walked down that street,
my heart would still be complete.
I fell in love with that beautiful girl,
she was just so different that I couldn't help.
I loved the tears that hid beneath her eyes,
because she once told me they were the strength in her heart.
Now she is gone, and no one is going to know
about the girl who fought when her wings were cut.
No one will see again, the girl with the stars in her eyes,
or the girl whose smile, made you shine.
Her dreams disappeared like dust in the wind,
and there wasn't anything I could have done, because I was so blind.
Now that she is gone, I wish I had tried harder for her love,
cause if she fought for her dreams then I shouldn't have given up.
She took my heart and left with it,
she went to that world no one could reach.
And the only thing I could keep from her,
was a promise of a world made of golden dreams.
