Code #3: Breaking Up

This code is about breaking up with your boyfriend or girlfriend. Before it comes to this, talk to each other about issue(s) that you have so that you can try and work it out. If it still doesn't work out, then you need to politely and respectfully break up with each other. What I mean by this is don't yell at each other rudely, but just say it's over and move on. But (again) a huge no-no: Don't break up over the phone. Not by call or text, nothing like that. In person is the only right way to do it. The only exception is long distance relationships, but you should FaceTime or Oovoo or Skype each other (if possible). Other than that case, it should be done in person.

After you are single again, take some time to be single. Don't try and find someone else immediately. You may think you want to make the other person jealous or you feel lonely, but it's okay to feel like that. It's normal. You shouldn't find someone new within the next week or 2 of your breakup. It doesn't look good towards other people because they start to think you're desperate. And you don't want that going around.

Just try not to make a big deal about it. Things like this happen and it's okay. Don't stress about it.
