Code #2: Getting asked out/Asking someone out

Ok, so this code is about asking someone out and getting asked out.

First, I'm going to talk about getting asked out. If I get asked out, I have a Dating Council. "What the heck is that?!" is what you're probably saying to yourself. Well, let me explain. This council is a small group of my friends that help me decide to say yes or no. I know it's stupid but I'm the kind of person who can't make decisions for themselves. So when the person ask me, I say, "Ummm... I'll get back to you," and ask my council since I can't make choices... If the majority says yes then I usually say yes, but remember that how you feel is the most important vote. You're the head of the council, so take control! That's how I do it, but there are so many other ways to handle the situation. For one, don't have a council and just say yes or no.

But, if you think the council isn't the way to go, then take charge and make a decision for yourself.

Another thing: Don't be rude when you respond. When, and if, you say no, don't be rude about it. For example, don't say, "Ew! No! You're so ugly!" or "Ummm... Boy bye!" That's just mean. What if that person was you? You probably like someone that much and you don't want them to say that to you so...

Last thing: If you say yes, tell them your expectations. For example, if you want to see each over in the hall or and lunch, say so! It helps not cause conflicts later on. Don't get picky with them either though.

Next, asking someone out. You don't have to ask someone out all romantically or anything like that. If you want to sure, go ahead, but it's not necessary. Just ask them! You have to say 6 words: Will you go out with me? That's it. You just need some confidence. Try saying it in the mirror or to a stuffed animal to build the confidence you need.

If the person says no, don't get mad. They maybe aren't ready for a boyfriend or girlfriend yet. But one HUGE no-no: Don't ever, I mean EVER EVER, ask out someone over the phone. It's... Just no... Don't do it. You must do it in person.
