She once met a boy
Sitting on roof all alone
Waiting patiently for a sunrise
Singing of a place unknown

One night she sat with him
As he played his guitar
Singing ever so softly
Of moons and shooting stars

He asked her to sing too
Of the rhymes she has never sung
Holding it between the creases of nights
Always biting her deep tongue

The world seems too shallow
To hold her oceans of rhymes of within
So she sang to the boy she just met
For sure he knew how to swim

And they fell deeper with night
Singing melodies to each other
He wished silently, if just he had
Some more time to spend with her.

When the sunlight woke her up
Realisation hit her hard
That her new found friend has left
Leaving for her, his GUITAR.

She held it in her small hands
The guitar had a brand new dent
Written in scribbles by a metal
From your ' MAYBE FRIEND' .
