Chapter 2: 3 years later
3 years later
"Happy birthday to you, happy birthday to you, happy birthday dear Rebecca and Jay! Happy birthday to you" Everyone around us sang
"Happy 16th birthday to the both of you" Mrs. Parker said handing me a bouquet of roses.
"Thank you, Mrs. Parker" I smiled, taking the roses from her hand and setting them down on the table next to me.
"Oh you're welcome dear" she said pulling Jay into a big hug and whispering to him
I smiled at the sight around us, the backyard was buzzing with life. The music was booming, the people were dancing and laughing, everyone looked like they were having a good time.
"Princess" I heard Jay call
I turned around and walked towards the deck where he was now seated
"Hey Jay what's up?" I asked
He grabbed my hand and pulled me down so I was seated on his lap
"Are you spending the night?" he asked
"Of course when do we not spend the night with each other on our special day" I smiled
"Good" he said kissing my head
"So Becca, did you enjoy the party" Mr. Parker asked
"Yeah it was awesome thank you" I smiled
"You're welcome, did your parents call?" Mrs. Parker asked
"Yeap, they said they were sorry that they couldn't be here, but they wish us both a happy birthday and they send their love"
"What are you guys going to do tonight" Mr. Parker asked
"Watch some movies, pictures, and the usual" jay said
"Well where going to head out tonight, movies, and some dinner" Mrs. Parker said
"Oh ok mom sounds good, have fun" Jay smiled
"Don't cause to much trouble you too" Mr. Parker called from the door
"We'll try not to" I laughed
"Bye you too" Mrs. Parker laughed
"Bye mom" we both shouted as the door shut
"JAY LETS TAKE A PICTURE" I shouted reaching for the camera that was on the table
"Fine but only one" he laughed
"You're the best" I smiled kissing his cheek
Once we posed for the photo I set the timer and took the picture. We were both seated with our heads bend down, and we extended our arms out and formed a heart with each other's hand. and kissed eachother (Pic on side) I showed Jay the picture and he smiled
"It's cute becs" he said
"I have your present upstairs"
"Jay I told you no gifts" I whined
"I know but it's your 16th birthday plus I didn't buy it, it was something you wanted that I had" he smiled
"Well I got you something too anyway" I laughed running up the stairs
"Princess" he whined
"Buts it's your 16th birthday" I mimicked him
"Watch when I get my hands on you! You'll get it" Jay laughed
