The door was slammed closed and pants echoed in the small room. Natsu slumped against the door as he tried to catch his ragged breathing. He banged his head lightly and tried to focus on his surroundings.
"Damn it all..." he groans.
"What the hell are you doing?" he almost jumped, like literally jumped, when he heard a voice. He turned to Gray, who was staring at him blankly.
"What does it look like I'm doing?" he sassed. Gray rolls his eyes and lied down on his bed.
"Something stupid, obviously," he retorted before taking his phone out to check his accounts.
"Fuck off," he snaps and tried to stand up with the support of his knees to his weight. He yawns and checked the time. 'Damn, all that running tired me down. I need a bath,' he thought.
He proceeded to stretch while making his way to his bed to get his towel.Gray gazes at him through his hair until the bathroom door closed, then he sighed in relief. He scratch his head repeated, a gesture he does whenever he decides to do something annoying.
'Goddamn Rogue. Why can't you do it on your own?' he thinks. He can't talk out loud, he's in room with a Dragon slayer after all. 'Wait. Where is Rogue anyway?' he blinks.
He grunts. It's bad enough that he can't get along with the other, getting stuck with him at all possible times is even worse. Gray sometimes wondered if this is his compensation for all the things he had done. Well, he ain't happy about it. What's funny about this, its all just excuses. He can't help but feels like he's relationship with Natsu is becoming more...
Tranquil
Its even more ironic if he was to put it that way, considering all they ever do is argue and fight. He stares up to the ceiling. He hates Natsu's guts but not the guy himself, they just have different way of handling a situation. A different perspective. Though it's only a natural pull. We are, after all, individuals. What makes us unique is our own self, we're not suppose to be the same.
Maybe this is the reason why Sting had dared him to date Natsu, specifically for the reason to piss him off. It's working though, Gray is a 100% sure that everyone thinks that they really hate each other. Well Natsu probably does but Gray, doesn't actually feel the same. His feelings for the other doesn't run that deep as to call it 'hate'. It's more of a 'dislike'.
"Hah... Oh boy," he sighs and pinch the bridge of his nose. The bathroom doors opened with Natsu stepping out wrapped in a towel. Gray eyes him for a moment before going back to his phone.
"Damn examinations..." he hears. Natsu seemed to be cursing the amazing phenomena called 'Exams' because he's stuck with his most hated person.
"Then just pass, idiot. Quit your whining," Gray nonchalantly says. Natsu's ear twitched and he glared at the other.
"What did you say?" he growls. This is one of the many, many, many reasons why they can't get along. Gray clicked his tongue and turned away. He just can't keep his mouth shut and Natsu is too hot-tempered that he's easily swept with comments. "Who asked you?"
"What? It's true, you could easily pass it if you just pay attention," Gray snarls. This is what he's talking about dislike. Whenever Natsu says something, Gray would retaliate with or without being asked. "But I doubt you're even capable of that."
In one swift motion, Natsu was already grabbing his collar, "What the hell, asshole!" he hauls him up. Gray sneers and pushes him away.
"Quit it, dumbass!"
Natsu slammed Gray against his own bed, but Gray brought him down with him. Natsu stumbles, Gray grab holds of his arm and twist it behind his back, Natsu grunts. He squirms, but his shoulder was aching so he stopped. Instead, he takes Gray by surprise by kicking him and flips them both then Natsu straddles him by the hips, completely putting him down.
