Secrets Untold (The Phoenix's Firstborn)

PROLOGUE

RED's POV

I am at the edge of a very steep cliff.
I held my breath and close my eyes.
I can do this.

Inhale, exhale.
I open my eyes and let my body fall down freely from the edge of the cliff.
The next thing I knew—I was flying. But I was a bird with fire-red feathers and smaller than my human body.

I can feel that I was so happy. I can see the beautiful trees, and rivers below. Wow. I never thought it could be this beautiful.

Red!!

Whoa. Who's that?
I woke up from my dream.
And the last thing I knew I fell off my bed and landed on the cold floor covered with a red mat.

"Get ready na sis!" sigaw ng best friend kong di yata nananaginip ng maganda.

"Haisht." I groaned and tried to get up slowly. "I just had the most wonderful and the most amazing dream but thanks to you it was cut off." I added sarcastically.

"Hay naku. Ang tagal mo kasing magising. May klase pa tayo." sabi nya na inirapan lang ako.

"Fine. Fine. I'll take a bath. Wait for me!" sabi ko ng makapasok na ako sa bathroom.

By the way, I'm Red. My real name is Red Amethyst Silva. And I'm a fourth year learner as a magic user and wizard here in WWA which stands for Witchcraft and Wizardry Academy. And yeah, right. Wizard/Witch po ako, wag kayo. Haha. Joke.

So you see, I study at a different type of school unlike the normal people. Here, we learn different kinds of witchcraft, spells, potions.
Tinuturuan din nila kaming makipaglaban gamit ang aming mga mahika and also different weapons. Whatever, you'll find out a lot later.

Pagkatapos kong maligo at magbihis ng uniform ay lumabas na ako ng banyo at nag ayos ng sarili. Andito parin si Heather. She's my best friend from earlier.
Let me introduce her.

Heather Alexis Wring. Red hair which is always styled to a French braid tied with a black ribbon, she has brown eyes, fair white skin and beautiful body. Nagkakilala kami from a duel here in our beloved school. Di kami magkaklase pero nagkataon na pinaglaban ang klase namin sa klase nila then kami ang naglaban. That was a fair fight that time. Walang talo, walang panalo. But on the next duels, I won. Since then we became close friends. Hanggang sa lumipat na sya sa dorm room ko, then we became even closer to each other. She's the greatest friend ever. Though ayaw ko lang talaga sa kanya ay yung paggising nya sakin everytime na may maganda akong panaginip or sarap na sarap ako sa pagtulog. And I also hate the fact that she has insomnia that's why at night she's always sitting by the window looking outside na parang multo. Brrrr. Nakakatakot ng minsan eh. Though, I'm actually curious kung ba't di sya nagmumukhang bangkay kahit di sya nakakatulog pag gabi.

Hmmm.

"Come on Red. Malelate na tayo." pukaw niya sa aking diwa.

"Yeah, yeah. Coming." sagot ko at lumabas na sa kwarto namin dala ang aking maliit na bag.

Marami na ang mga estudyante na nasa corridor at hallways ng school. Ang iba ay nakikipag usap, ang iba naman nagbabasa ng libro, then ang iba naman ay naglalaro ng wand nila.

"Kain muna tayo." aya ni Heather at tumango na lang ako habang papunta kami sa kainan.

So this is our school. Parang palasyo na sya sa sobrang laki at lawak. Made up of brick walls and torch lights hang in every corner. Napapalibutan ang Academy ng pagkataas taas na mga bundok. Apat na bundok ang nakapalibot dito na pumoprotekta sa eskwelahan. Mahirap itong mahanap na paaralan dahil sa mga nagtataasang mga bundok. Dahil sabi narin ng mga professors namin, ang mga naimbitahan lang na mga estudyante ang makakapasok dito at wala ng iba. Karamihan ay mga magic users na talaga because of their blood;in short they were born as real magic users and they have wizard or witch parents. Ang iba ay may mga potensyal na maging magic users at inimbitahan sila ng school na ito para mas mahasa pa ang kanilang kakayahan na gumamit ng mahika. Isa ako sa mga may potensyal na maging magic user na naimbitihan ng paaralan noong 12 taong gulang ako. Kadalasan ang mga katulad ko ay inaapi lang ng mga real magic users na mga estudyante that's why I never actually have so much friends and not also that, but because they sort of like are afraid of me for the reason I am not aware of. Heather is the exception for those students who bullied students like me. Real magic user si Heather, but never ko syang nakita na mang api ng mga potential magic users na  kagaya ko. Meron pa rin naman na kagaya niya pero siya lang talaga ang naglakas loob na lumapit saakin.
