06 | "Hey Logie, it's the girl you fell for"

"I think you meant fell over, Beth" he said holding her hand whilst carrying her bag and leading her towards where we were sitting,

"Val! Willy! Gray! Ethy!" she squealed giving them each a hug which they returned happily smiling at her.

"Hi I'm Alex" I introduced smiling widely at her but she went straight in for a hug squeezing my legs tightly since she only reached my hips,

"I'm Beth, but you already know that, Ooh come play tea party with me! Logie hates playing tea party especially when I dress him up I'll introduce you to Mrs TD and Mr TD they love having new guests!" she rambled while grabbing my hand and pulling me along,

Whilst walking I noticed her hair looked brassy in the sunlight and I furrowed my eyebrows.

I remembered my conversation with Mia:

They don't call me Alex, Cupid's Assistant" I said making dramatic hand gestures in front of us as if showing her headlines.

She snorted, "Oh yeah, who calls you that?"

"Uhm.. Everyone you know all my friends back in England"

She snorted again "Uh huh yeah and I'm not a natural blonde"

"Really?" I questioned, rather stupidly now that I think about it,

"No of course not! Besides when girls die their hair blonde it turns brassy after a while, does my hair look brassy to you!" she yelled as she squirted some dishwashing soap on me as I laughed at her frustration.

Why would a girl as young as Beth need to dye her hair blonde?

"Oh no no no no" Logan called from behind "It's dark outside already and I think it's someone's bedtime"

"Aww but we were just going to play tea parties!"

"You can play another time"

She pouted looking so adorable I couldn't help pinch her cheeks,

"Goodnight Beth, I'll see you next time" I smiled brightly at her and she hugged me tightly,

She walked upstairs probably getting ready for bed,

"I should probably go too, it is pretty dark" I told Logan,

"Yeah no worries I'll drop you home" he smiled back.

Quickly I went upstairs and grabbed my bag and walked back downstairs, when I walked back down I said a quick goodbye to the guys before walking out to meet Logan in his car waiting patiently for me.

As we were about to get in the car someone yelled my name and when I looked up there in the window was Valentino, Grayson, Ethan and Will making smooching faces and noises at me. I flipped them off and chuckled at their antics, thankfully Logan didn't hear or see that.

When I got in shotgun I quickly put my seatbelt on and looked at Logan who was smirking mischievously at me, "so there's going to be a next time?" he asked wiggling his eyebrows and I punched him in the arm.

"You probably shouldn't hit me considering I am driving and you shouldn't hit the driver"

I punched him again, "shut up and drive Ryder".

We were barely a few streets away before we reached home I remembered a conversation I had with Noah a few days ago:

"You can't speak, talk, or even look in that Logan kid's general direction," he commands with a stern voice.

I didn't question it at the time but it's better to not get involved in any drama right now.

"Uhm Logan, it's okay if you just drop me off here"

"Here?"

"Yep right here" I told him, directing him to an average sized house which had nothing special about it.

"Let me walk you to the door" he said taking off his seatbelt as I took off mine,

"No!" I said rather loudly, "I mean no it's alright"

He nodded suspiciously as I got out of the car.

"Bye!" I waved at him but neither his car nor him seemed to budge,

"Aren't you going to go in?" he asked with his furrowed eyebrows looking at the house and then me repeatedly.

"Why would I- Oh of course yeah obviously pshh!" I mentally face palmed myself,

I backed away from the car and up the driveway while Logan called out

"You're something else Alexandra" he said shaking his head and laughing as he drove away.

I left out a breath of relief,

"Get off my lawn you hooligan! You and your pesky friends always egging my house on Halloween!" An old lady, her face crowded with wrinkles screamed at me from her front door waving her walking stick around madly.

"Sorry!" I called back before jogging away quickly,

I could still hear her yelling and shoutingabout calling the police one day.
