Chapter 3

(A/N) When they’re playing 20 questions L is Lauren’s speech and C is Camila’s. It got to tiring to find other words for said xD)

Lauren’s POV

This is it I’m finally going to see her, and talk to her properly. I felt the butterflies in my stomach multiply as I pressed call.

After 3 rings the call was answered and Camila’s face came into view. My heart pounded in my chest and a smile took over my whole face.

“Hi,” I said.

“Hey. Oh my god, this is surreal,” Camila replied.

“I know. I can’t breathe right now. You have no idea how happy I am to see you.”

“I think I do. Thank you so much for the past few weeks, you’ve helped me more than you can imagine. Whenever I talk to you I smile, and just… thank you,” Camila told me.

“Camz, it’s no problem. When I talk to you I smile as well, talking to you is the highlight of my day.”

“Aw, we’re so sappy. How about we get to know each other face to face then?” Camila proposed.

“I’d love to. 20 questions?” I asked.

C: Ooooh yeah, that’s fun. Ummmm, when’s you’re birthday?

L: June 27th 1996. What’s your full name?

C: Karla Camila Cabello.

L: Your name’s Karla?

C: Yeah, I hate it. That’s why I use my middle name.

L: Okay. I won’t call you Karla.

C: Good. Anyways, what do you like to do?

L: I really like to sing.

C: Same. Lolo, will you sing for me?

L: Lolo?

C: Yeah. It’s your new nickname. You call me Camz so I’m gonna call you Lolo.

L: Okay

C: So will you sing for me?

L: Do I have to?

C: Please, Lolo?

I looked into her eyes on the screen and saw her pouting towards me. It was the cutest thing ever, and I couldn’t resist it.

L: Fine. What song?

C: Anything.

I thought for a second, and then decided.

I’m gonna pick up the pieces,

And build a lego house,

If things go wrong we can knock it down.

My three words have two meanings,

I looked up at the camera, and saw Camz open mouthed.

C: Oh my god, Lolo. You’re amazing. Oh my god, I want your voice.

L: Aw Camz, you’re the sweetest. But now, I want to hear you sing.

C: B-but0

L: Nuh-uh. You got me to sing. You’re gonna sing for me.

C: Okay…

I waited for a few seconds before she started.

Loving him is like driving a new Maserati down a dead-end street
Faster than the wind, passionate as sin, ending so suddenly

Like the colors in autumn, so bright just before they lose it all
Losing him was blue like I'd never known

Her voice was soft, almost angelic. I couldn’t believe how such a strong voice could come out of someone as timid and small as Camz.

L: Holy mother. Camz. You’re amazing.

C: Thank you.

L: Are you blushing?

C: Nope…

L: I think you are. It’s adorable.

C: Shhh. EW, I hate that noise, why’d I say it?

I heard the door open from downstairs. My parents, brother and sister must be back. I looked at the lock, and realized that me and Camz had been skyping for ages.

L: Aw, Camz, I gotta go, but can we do this again?

C: Of course. I’ll talk to you later. Bye Lolo.

L: Bye Camz.

I hung up the call, and walked downstairs to my family, with a huge smile on my face.

“Why are you smiling so big?” my brother Chris asked.

“No reason,” I replied, but looked down at the ground, smiling again as I thought bout how I had finally gotten to talk to Camz’ face. I think I really like her.
