"The downside is he has a deep mistrust of Shadowhunters.", she finished. 

"Well, then why did he help my mom remove my memories. Isn't she a Shadowhunter?" 

"Yes, one of the best. Actually helped train Ana here", Hodge said and I looked up at Ana who shrugged, and looked down at me raising her eyebrows making me look back flustered. 

Her hair falling down in front of both of us blocking anyone from seeing us that weren't on my left. I could smell the coconut scent from her almost making me lose focus. How does she do this?

"Warlocks usually require payment before they help anyone with anything.", Jace said before looking at Ana. 

"Yep, and usually the older they are the more greedy.", she joked. 

"Word from the Clave is that most of the warlocks have gone into hiding since Valentine began hunting them. ", I said subconcsiously playing with Ana's hand that was drapped over my chair as she sat on the edge of the table in front of me. 

"Valentine must be searching for the warlock, where did Jocelyn...", Hodge said to be cut off by his own pain as his circle rune seared. 

Ana's POV

"Hodge, your rune. You Okay?", Clary said and I looked over at her as she looked over at me. I nodded letting her know it was okay.

"So how do we find Magnus?", Alec said.

 I looked at him as I felt a squeeze on my hand. I looked at my hand to see his playing absentmindly. He noticed me looking and went to pull away but I squeeze back smiling softly letting him know it was okay. 

"We don't",Jace said and I finished his statement,"Magnus finds us. We'll set up a meeting, somewhere protected. Lure him out of hiding.". 

"And I know exactly where we do it.", Izzy said with a little too much excitement making Hodge chuckle as she took his place. 

"A Downworld rave. Nice, Izzy.", Jace and I said at the same time making us laugh.

"And where'd you get that?", Alec said tensely making me roll my eyes as i looked at him with a 'really?' look as Izzy said she got it during survelliance. 

"He'll never go for it. Not with Valentine trying to kill him.", Alec said looking me in the eyes. 

I cocked my head smirking,"Of course he will. He'll blend in. Hide in plain sight." 

"I don't know it seems...",he said unsurely making me roll my eyes as I got up 

"Never underestimate Magnus' hedonism.", Hodge said as I stood by him and Izzy. 

"Or his greed.",I said before we all followed Hodge to the training room. 

He traced one of the runes before lifting  up the tile and taking out a necklace. 

As I reached them since I was zoning out Jace was already pulling me back towards the computers. "You are more out of it than usual", he stated not looking me in the eye, as he almost shoved me into a desk making me sit on it as he tapped away. 

"Right...and I've known you for my whole life", I said sarcastically moving my head to the side with a cocked brow trying to get him to look at me. 

"Wayland...", I said laying my hand on his arm, as he sighed looking up at me as I looked from one of his eyes from the other trying to find something wrong. 

"Hey...what is it?", I said as he looked around then back down at me. 

"I know we are doing this for a good thing but...what trouble it may cause-", "Trouble fixing trouble...it takes pressure to turn coal to a diamond in the rough. My father trained me and my twin on that saying because even though the law is the law. Morals stand first and if it takes going against that to make it right, you do it without hesitation.", I said with my whole being. Knowing I needed it myself. 

"Thank you Ro", he said hugging me and I tensed up not use to it, but relaxed into it hugging back. The way he said it seeming a little too familiar to me. 

And as the two pulled away, they both had not of notice the blonde's parabati out of sight hearing the conversation in dire need of those same words.
