Chapter 35

Clarkes pov
"You sent for me?" I asked lexa
"Yes. Octavia has nothing to fear from me. I do trust you, Clarke." Lexa said
"I know how hard that is for you."
"You think our ways are harsh, but that's how we survive."
"Maybe life should be about more than just surviving. Don't we deserve better than that?"
"Maybe we do." Lexa said leaning in and kissing me.
"I'm sorry. I-- I;m not ready. To be with anyone. Not yet." I said
"The signal! Commander, come quick!" A grounder said from outside
"Bellamy did it." I said
"You were right to have faith in him. Now we fight."

Ravens pov
"When I said, 'let's get our stoichiometry on,' not what I meant." Wick said on,y to be cut off by me kissing him.
"Ah. Um, it's probably a bad idea." Wick said
"We're going to war. Stop talking." I said
"I'm just saying, the brace I made would've been easier to take off."
"That brace was tragic. What did I say about talking, Wick?"
"I think you can call me Kyle."

Bellamy's pov
"Raven, we've got a problem. Dammit, where are you? I don't think the acid fog is down. Get word to Clarke. We have to stop the army. Raven!" I said through the radio.

Emersons pov
"Confirmed, sir. Intruder's radio has been cut off." I said
"Reset the panel. The army's almost in range. Good job finding the radio, Lieutenant. Do a sweep and make sure they have no more." Cage said
"Yes, sir." I said
"And bring me the intruder." Cage said
"The veil is ready on your command, sir." I said
"Wait until they're all inside of the kill box. Ten more seconds." Cage said
"Roger that. Deploying in ten... nine... eight... seven...Six.. five... four... three... two... one." I said
"We're go for veil." I said
"Well?" Cage asked
"We are negative on veil deployment." I said
"What happened?"
"Soldiers report an explosion in chemicals deployment. Multiple casualties. The veil is down. I repeat, the veil is down."
"What else can we use?"
"The Reapers can't take a force this large."
"Don't tell me what we can't do. Tell me what else we have."
"Nothing. All we have is the doors." I said

Ravens pov
"Hey." Wick said
"We have to meet the strike team." I said
"You kind of shut down on me there. What's up?"
"What? Nothing."
"Right. This was too much. Look... if you want to do this, I'm in. But I'm not gonna play games. So, figure it out."
"We have a war to win." I said

Clarkes pov
"Hey." I said to octavia
"What do you want?" Octavia asked
"I'm changing your mission. You're not going to the mines with Indra. I'm placing you in the rear guard, where you'll be safe." I said
"Like hell you are. I don't take orders from you. I take orders from Indra."
"I'm trying to protect you, Octavia."
"Protect me."
"One day, hopefully, you'll understand what I did."
"Never. I'll fight this war with you now because I want our friends back. But after that, we're done."
"The Commander's looking for you." Indra said to me walking in the room.

Octavias pov
"What was that about?" Indra asked me
"Clarke's trying to reassign me to the rear guard." I said
"You're a warrior. You'll be in the mines with me. I know it bothers you. They knew about the missile."
"How could you not hate them? Indra, they almost killed you."
"They didn't do anything. The enemy did. Lexa's a great Commander because she's ruthless. That's why we'll win this battle."
"That's wrong."
"That's war."

Bellamys pov
"Get up. It's time to go. Come on out. Our people are marching on Mount Weather right now. Hey. It's ok. We're getting you out." I said to echo getting her people out of the cages
"Listen to me. There's an army inside this room, and I need you to help me get them ready to fight. Can you do that?" I asked echo nodded
" Ok. How do we do this?" Echo asked
"There's an army outside going for the main door. When they get it open, all hell will break loose. That is the signal for my friends to come here, and..." I said
"My fellow citizens, this is your president speaking. I have news to share with you that will change all of our lives forever. For 97 years, Mount Weather has been our home. It's kept us alive, but it has also held us captive. Most of us have made peace with what we've had to do to survive. We've done these things for one reason... so that our people could someday return to the ground. That day is today. Before my friend Lorelei Tsing was murdered by the outsiders still at large in this mountain, she found a cure. It was in their bone marrow." Cage said over the P.A
"I'll be back." I said
"Where are you going?" Echo asked
"He's trying to get his people to turn on each other. They'll find my friends. I have to bring them here now. I'll send them in groups. You get your people ready to go, but you wait for me to come back, do you understand?" I said
"Wait! Thank you."'echo said
"You free your people. Protect mine when they get here. We can thank each other when we're all outside." I said
