True Story

My friend and I haven't seen each other in a few weeks, so we've tried to hang out for a long time. This particular weekend, we finally got the chance. We were having a sleepover at my friend Liz's house, on a Saturday night. We enjoy cosplay, so we got into Elaine and Elizabeth. We headed out around 12:00 and went to the local baseball field. It was a cold night. I was in a dress, and Liz was in a nice, casual outfit. We stopped by the gate, and started to take some pictures. Liz wanted to go farther out, and she wanted to explore. I was very hesitant, but I followed her anyways.  We stopped at a dead end, right before a huge hill. We looked up at the top of the hill and I said that I didn't want to go. We were both telling each other why we should go up the hill, and why we should turn back. We both shut up of the sound of chimes. It was windy that night, so it made sense. We kept telling each other our sides, and what we should do. Not even a minute later, we heard the weirdest echo, and we were both scared. Liz said it was a demon, but she meant it as a joke. We both looked at each other, with the look of shock on our faces, not expecting that noise. Next to the hill, there was a large water tower. Next to that, was a small house, leading to a road nearby. Liz took a couple steps toward the mountain, and stopped. She turned around because a nearby train made a loud noise, like it was coming to a stop. We both made weird eye contact, and we just didn't say a thing. The train didn't make any noise, and then it honked seven times. They were all quick, short, individual honks. I became very scared, because the only light I had was the dim street lights. I looked around, because I didn't feel alone. I knew I was with Liz, but I felt like we were being watched. Once everything went silent, we both felt it. Whatever the feeling was, it wasn't a good one. I'm not one to stand up to things, so my mind started running and I wanted to cry. Liz then agreed that the train scared us, so we stared to turn back. At the end of each block, I looked around. I just felt so nervous. I checked every other road in sight, and I started to see a black figure. It scared me, so I started clinging to Liz. On each block, I felt so scared. I kept looking around, having the feeling that 20 or more people were watching me. I kept seeing the same black figure, at random ends of streets. I told Liz that we should go to the baseball field, and cut back to her house, because it was the quicker route. We just wanted to get home and indoors as soon as we could. We finally made our way back to the field, as the faint sound of chimes that drained out the silence. There was a small line of trees separating us from Liz's house. Right before we ran off, there is a figure that I will always find terrifying. Behind us, I saw a big black figure, that looks bulky, and that was staring right at us. I didn't say anything about it I till we got inside, and I'm happy I did.

A couple days before this happened, Liz told me about an encounter that was similar to this one. She said that she heard a human like scream early in the morning, and she later checked it out, but didn't find anything. She told me that it was just a dying bird, but that was an excuse not to scare me. Later, she told me that there are these things that are  shapeshifters, and they can make human noises. I'm not saying that is was one of those creatures, but its definitely something to think about.
