I want to thank you all for all of the messages that you have been sending me about this book. I had no idea that it would really move so many of you as it has.

Some of the stories that you have shared with me about your own backgrounds and struggles have brought me to tears. If I could reach through this book and hug you I would.

I dedicate this story to each of you who have survived abuse no matter what it is.

You never know what someone is going through or what their story is. So the next time you start to judge and chastise another person based on superficial things. I hope you will think about the fact that this person has a background that would probably also bring you to tears.

We need more love and less hate and I hope this story encouraged you!

I'm not saying life will always be perfect and I am not saying that speaking up is as easy as it turned out for Tasheena, but it is important to share your pain with somebody that you trust! You never know who you are helping in the process. (Getting abusers and rapists off the street)!

I wrote a positive story for Tasheena because I didn't want this story to be all dark, I had to lighten it up some and give her a life outside of the abuse and her therapy. I wanted to encourage my readers and keep you guys focused on the fact that life does go on and that you can still find happiness, no matter what you've been through! I am a living witness to this and that is why I believe in Tasheena, the power of love, and I am not just speaking about TD's love for Tee, I am talking about Tasheena's love for herself! I hope you noticed her growth throughout the book and that the more she fell in love with herself the stronger she became as a person. The more she was able to stand up for herself and not just accept whatever treatment people gave her (hence Q).

I know many of you were rooting for Q and I have nothing against the character, but with him I wanted to show that he did love her but that sometimes love is selfish-even when it's not trying to be. Q loved her, but he is young and impressionable and he was loving himself more when she needed him. Does that make him a bad guy? Not at all. It just made him a bad choice for her and did you notice how long Tee allowed him to treat her as if she was second to everything else? When she finally stood up for herself and demanded respect she grew even more as a woman.

She realized that she was worth more than broken promises, abuse, lies, and manipulation. She deserved happiness like everyone else and once she started to walk in that everything that she wanted began to pour into her life.

My hope is that you walk away from this book encouraged and if you are still hurting I hope you take this book as a sign that its time for you to finally deal with whatever lingering pain that you have inside of you. YOU DESERVE IT!

Thank you guys for taking a chance on this book, you don't know how much it meant to me to see so many of you embracing the fact that I was trying something different.

I wish you well until the next story!😘
