   The man in front of me looks down and takes another sip of his drink. "Yeah, I was. But I'm an old god, kid. I'm retired. There's really nothing left for us here in the modern world. We've fallen. Poseidon picks up trash on the beach, Ares walks through blown-up schools in the Middle East. Athena attends protests and marches against the new problems, Hermes is a pickpocket in New York,  Apollo and Artemis are trying to save the ecosystem and are traveling somewhere constantly. Hades is on his deathbed. Everything's gone to hell. What could you possibly want with me?"
