Sarah stepped out of the shower and on to a fluffy mat. Wrapping a robe on her body and towel on her head, Sarah breezed over to her closet and wondered what to wear for her interview. The beeping of her phone caused her great annoyance so Sarah rushed to shut her phone off and saw the voicemail. "Hm. Toby called twice. Let me listen to this" Sarah said out loud. After listening to the voicemail, Sarah was stunned. True, she didn't love her stepmother but if she were to return, she wouldn't be in town should she receive a callback for her job. Sarah was auditioning for a part for the coveted roll of Sandy for "Grease". Maybe if I hurry, go to the funeral and then come home. I can make it. It's not until another week Sarah thought to herself. She called Toby backed. "Toby, I'll go. Let me make my plane reservations and then I'll call you to tell you when I'll be there." Sarah hung up and placed her face in her hands. Was her dream a warning? Or was it her Stepmother calling her? Sarah then called the airline service to book her flight home and began to pack her two suitcases and a kennel for her dog, Ludo. Sarah was looking through her clothes and picking a black dress. Ludo kept running around impatiently, needing to go outside. "Okay, Ludo. Let's go, you soon-to-be fluffball." Sarah exclaimed while Ludo tilted his head in confusion. Wrapping the leash around Ludo, Sarah went outside to breath in the city life she so well embraced. Whilst outside, she was trying to think of any reason why she had that dream, but couldn't come up with a reasonable answer. After 10 minutes, she went back in with Ludo and finished packing before eating. Sarah didn't feel like using pots and pans, so it was pizza for dinner. Pepperoni, mushroom, bell pepper, and artichoke hearts with eight-count buffalo wild wings and a small Pepsi. As she waited for her pizza and wings, Sarah fed Ludo and watched TV. Finally, her food arrived. She indulged her cravings the moment she sat down at her table. Ludo waited patiently for crumbs to fall. Sarah gave him a small piece of mushroom and bread crumbs to soothe his tiny stomach. Sarah finished her pizza, cleaned her table, and went to line up her two suitcases and small handbag along with Ludo's kennel and small baby-bag she bought from Babies-R-Us to use for Ludo when traveling. Changing into her pajamas, she picked Ludo up and climbed into bed with Ludo sleeping on his own tiny pillow and blanket. Sighing softly, Sarah drifted to sleep; dreading heading home to face her past.
