Adopted By Dan Howell Ch.7

Well, I'm awake now I guess. Its only 6:00 in the fricken morning. I am kind of just laying here because I share a tent with Dan and I am NOT waking him up. I am trying to go back to sleep.

I guess I fell back to sleep because Dan just woke me up and its 9. Our tents are kind of big so there is room to get dressed. Dan already got dressed while I was sleeping. I just throw on a pair of skinny jeans and a t shirt. I brush out my hair and walk out of the tent. "Look who's awake" Zelda says. "Hey Zelda" I say. "How did you sleep?" She asks me. "Shitty" I reply. "Awe, that sucks" she says. "Hi Connor" I say. "Hello" he replies. "Whats up?" I ask. "Nothing" he replies. "Well, looks like I am going for a 20 minute walk to the portable toilet. Zelda  will you come with me?" I say. "Okay" she says back. "So whats up?" she asks. "Well, nothing much. Its wasn't fun getting lectured yesterday" I say. "Yea, Dan looks like he can be scary when he is mad" she says. "mhmm hmm" I say.

We are all getting into our bathing suits to go swimming because we are all bored. Who cares that its 7:00 PM My bathing suit actually fits so that's exciting. When I walk out of my tent, Connor is drooling. "Connor stop staring at my daughter" Dan says. "Okay Sir" Connor says. Once we are all dressed we walk over to the cliff. "I am not jumping!" Phil says. "I WILL" Dan and I both yell. "Like father like daughter" Phil says to Zelda. "Yup" she agrees. Dan grabs my hand. "1...2...3!" Dan screams and we jump in together. "ITS SO WARM" I scream. "Im coming!" Zelda yells and jumps in. "Me next!" Connor yells. Once we are all in (except Phil. He is going around) we start splashing eachother. "Uncle Phil!" I yell. "Finally" He chokes out. I jump on his back. "Did you guys ever notice you have the same eyes?" Connor says. Phil looks up at me and I look down at him. "I guess we do" he says. We both smile.

"IM SO COLD!" I yell as I get out of the water. "Tell me about it" Connor says. "There are towels in the car. Phil go grab them" Dan instructs. "Okay" Phil replies and goes to the car.

"Come grab one" Phil says as he plops the towels down on a bench. I run up and grab a towel very fast and throw it around me. "That cold huh?" Zelda asks, punching me playfully. "Shut up Zelda" I say playfully. We both smile. "Dad, can we start a fire?" I ask. "Sure love" Dan replies. He just basically restarts the fire from last night. As Dan sits down, he motions me to sit on his lap. When I sit down, my body tingles. I have a father, a real one, too. I left the orphanage once. I got adopted once. It lasted about 6 days, then she brought me back.

"Alexandra, what are you doing?" asked the old, grouchy lady. "Uhmm...Sleeping..." I reply, trying to avoid getting lectured. "Alexandra, its 3 in the morning and your awake! Why is your window open! Were you trying to leave? That's it, your going back RIGHT NOW. Your such a trouble maker, Alexandra." She screamed.

I just sit there, shocked at the fact that I am loved. For once in my life, I am wanted. "Alex are you okay?" Phil asks. "Uhmmm. Yea. I am. I will be right back" I say and go to the woods. "Alex?" Connor asks. He gets up and follows me. I go and walk into the woods and sit on the same stump I sat on last night. "Are you okay?" Connor asks. "Umm, yea. I just kinda. Uhmm. I'm fine" I stutter. "Alex, the look in your eyes is telling me your not. Whats wrong?" Connor asks. "Well..." I say. I tell him about what happened with the old lady. "Have you told Dan?" he asks, in shock. "Well, no" I answer. "Lets go back" he says, grabbing my hand.

"Their backkk" Zelda exclaims. I smile. I go and sit next to Dan. He looks over at me and smiles.

Now we are all going to sleep. What an exciting day! (Sarcasm)
