"Adonis maybe you need to talk to someone" He said looking concerned

"I don't want to talk about it, I just want to forget it ever happened" I looked down at my wrists where I wore dark bruises from where he had grabbed me

"everyone would want to forget that, but you can't. the best thing you can do is to conquer it head on, and to do that you have to accept what happened" Damien said taking my hands into his

"I can't. every time I close my eyes I see him looking down at me, when I go to the bathroom I'm scared he's gonna be there. even sometimes when you touch me...I'm scared Damien"

He brought my hands to his lips and kissed it.

"I don't think there's anything I can say or do to make you feel less scared, but just know that I will do anything in my power to make sure that never happens to you ever again" He said with a straight expression

"thank you" I whispered

"cheer up baby, it's Easter" He said planting a kiss on my lips

"yay" I said sarcastically

Don't get me wrong I love Easter. It was my mother and I's favorite holiday. We would go to church in the morning then spend the rest of the day cooking and laughing. That was the one day out of the year my mother and I were the closest. But now she's not here, so what's to look forward to.

"my bro invited me to an Easter party he throwing today. I wasn't gonna go but maybe it'll help clear your mind, what do you say?" He asked

"I don't think I'm ready, to be around other people" I said wrapping my arms around my legs

"Adonis you said yourself you wanted to forget it happened, you staying home all day and shutting people out isn't going to help you do that"

I sighed, he was right. I just don't want to be in anyone else's presence right now.

"I'm gonna go make breakfast, what you want?" He asked

"anything is fine" I said

He stood up then grabbed my hand and led me downstairs to the kitchen. Once we got there he lifted me up and placed me on the kitchen counter.

"how does eggs, hash browns, and bacon sound?" He said looking through the fridge

"sounds good as long as it's you making it"

"nope, we're making it"

He pulled out a carton of eggs and bacon and placed it in front of me. Then he pulled out some potatoes and other ingredients and put that on the other side.

"you get started on the eggs and bacon, and I'll work on the hash browns" He said taking and apron and tying it around my neck and waist

I jumped off of the counter top and grabbed a bowl from the cabinet to mix the eggs in.

"I hope you like spice because I make my eggs with a lot of pepper" I said as I cracked the eggs into the bowl

"well I like you and you're spicy" He joked

As I was beating the eggs and mixing it with salt and red powdered pepper the front door opened and Dillon walked in.
