Jack and I have been friends our entire lives , since our parents were best friends since collage , to make it even more ironic , he was my neighbor .

One day he was walking to school with me when he told me he had to tell me something

¨ You're not moving away are you?¨ I asked and he laughed

¨ No , and if I did I would take you with me ¨ He said ¨What I wanted to tell you is that Chloe and I are dating , and  I was wondering if you wanted to hang with the two of us later . it would really mean the world to me if my two favorite girls got along ¨ he finished

As soon as the words Chloe and Dating left his mouth my heart fell all the way down to my stomach

¨Later , you mean after school?¨I asked and he nodded

¨Sorry Jack , I'm  going to hang out with Zach ¨ I lied  and he frowned

¨ Oh , maybe next time then ¨he said sadly

Its been a few months since Jack told me about he and Chloe and tonight I was gonna finally hang out with him without third wheeling him and Chloe.

I was out on my backyard getting everything ready for the usual weekend Barbecue that Jacks and my family had . When they got here I saw that Jack was missing .

¨Hey Kat , can we play in your tree house¨ Isla , Jacks little sister asked and I nodded.

We both made our way to a tree house my dad built for Jack and I to play in when we were little. Once inside we played tea party with my two American girls . After a while of playing  with the dolls Jack walked up the ladder with  a smile .

¨Hey girls , food is ready ¨ he said and climbed down and we imitated his action

Once we were down we went to sit with our families , I sat next to Jack like always and began to eat .

¨ Where were you ? ¨I asked while grabbing a burger from a plate

¨I was breaking up with Chloe ¨  He said

I almost chocked on the piece of food that I had in my mouth , I looked at him in shock as downed the food with water .

¨WHAT?!¨I  whispered yelled

¨ Yeah , I realized I loved someone even more ¨He said

¨Who?¨ I asked

¨ You¨

I blushed madly and he chuckled

¨I love you too ¨I said , he stopped eating and turned to look at me

I also stopped what I was doing and turned to look at him shocked
