the place had a unique seating arrangement; two booths facing each other with only a small curtain dividing them was set strategically all over the place so people could easily walk in and out of the booth, whether it was to the bathroom or just getting out overall.

miyeon was led to a booth in the far back corner of the cozy and warm restaurant. the kind girl gestured for her to take the booth before nodding to her and returning to her spot.

as she slid into her seat and untied her scarf, it was only when she got a good look at the person who had already occupied the booth right across her.

it was definitely a "he". the guy already had his bowl and it was already half empty, which meant he could finish soon and leave her and her booth alone. miyeon nodded at the thought.

just then, her order came in — ramen with chicken katsu, extra spring onions— and the steaming bowl was set in front of her, along with her hot ocha.

she was ready to dig in.

but the boy beat her to it.
