Monday morning, Alex didn't come to work, that also happened on tuesday and the rest of the week. Sarah noticed that she had been expecting Alex to come to work but he didn't and that had made her boring through the whole week
She wanted to see him, she wanted to feel his eyes on her and she also wanted to touch him. She was going insane and being this close to what belonged to him was getting difficult.
She had to get her mind of Alex, he was probably with another woman now, she thought but then his words rang in her ears
"I can't help not to want you...I hate that I still want you"

A whole week, a week Alex had been broading through his house. The house was large, big and mighty, the furniture's and pictures were already kept in place
The house was also quiet except for the music he had been playing throughout the whole day.
He didn't hear when Jack entered, he was holding a cup of wine in his right hand
"Alex"
Alex turned, startled, his blue eyes flickered
"Jack. I didn't know you were around."
"I just came in" Jack said, he joined Alex and both of them watched the view from the window
"What are you thinking of?" Jack asked like he didn't know. jack and Alex understood each other like night and day and Jack had been the one who helped Alex when Sarah left
Alex had been downtrodden and no one could have told him anything and he should stick to it even his mother. He shouted at anyone, snubbed anyone but Jack had somehow gotten to him and they had become close
"Thinking about Ms.Greene again?" Jack asked
Alex sipped from his cup and said without looking at Jack
"She's been on my mind through the week Jack. Its like she's been embezzled in my head and she can never come off"
"You're still in love with her?" Jack asked
"No, am not...she hurt me, she shattered me into a million pieces. I don't think I still love her...I don't"
"Do you think she still loves you" Jack asked
The thought of Sarah being in love with someone else gnarled at Alex's heart. The thought of her in the arms of another man, kissing her, making love to her, pricked his heart
"No" Alex answered painfully "she's made that clear"
Jack sighed and said
"Are you sure about that?"
Alex looked at Jack, his blue eyes focused on Jack's. He didn't get him
"What do you mean?" Alex asked
"You can never understand women" Jack said "How about we make a plan?"
Alex frowned, raising one of his eyebrows up...he asked
"What plan?"

Wearing a red suit with a yellow singlet inside, Sarah entered Alex office. He was occupied as to what he was doing and his undivided attention was given to Jack who was standing close to him
"Mr. Smith" Sarah said
Alex looked up then, his blue eyes taking in her appearance, his eyes guarded..Jack nudged him gently
