My eyes met Josh's again, he took the cigarette with his other hand and inhaled it deeply, while shaking my hand, still leaning to the wall.
"Hi" I spoke, trying to sound unaffected by the way his eyes followed my body.
"Hi babe" he replied with a s...
"Okay" I said and straightened myself in my seat. "Can I see her?"
"Yes, of course! She want's to meet you, she asked for you all day" Josh lit up and cupped his hand around my cheek.
"I love you Lexie, thank you"
I kissed him before getting out of the car.

"I'm sorry, I just can't stop looking at you" Victoria apologized from her side of the couch. "You're even more beautiful than I could imagine"
"Thanks" I blushed and looked down at my pressed together hands in my lap. She made it very hard for me to hate her, she was so kind and she looked amazing.
"So how far along are you?" I asked to break the awkward silence and pointed to her belly. Josh was in the other room making some calls, leaving me and Victoria alone in the living room.
"Five months" she said and put a strand of hair behind her ear. "It feels so surreal, he's already started kicking"
"You know it's a boy?"
"No, I just have a feeling you know. They say you know once you feel them kick, and I didn't really believe it until I experienced it myself"
I smiled at her, a little jealous of her glowing aura and bright smile.
"I really hope Josh has told you all about what happened two years ago, I don't want you to feel bad about me" Victoria said, shame filling her voice as she looked down.
"Oh please, how could I? You practically saved my life, and Josh's" I smiled at her.
"Yeah, I never thought I would have to come to the point in my life where I had to kill someone, let alone my own boss. It feels so surreal, like it was another life back then" She sighed and looked down at her belly.
"Wait, what? You killed Antonio?!" I was shocked to hear her words. All this time I thought Josh did it, or at least one of his guys.
"Yes, I had to. Josh got caught in a trap set up by Antonio and his men after he had found out about us, Josh thought he was going there to kill Antonio but instead he almost got himself killed" Victoria explained, and she seemed surprised that I didn't already knew about this.
"They held him hostage for a couple of days, but he refused to tell them anything so I guess if I wouldn't have ignored Josh's demand to leave the country, they would've killed him. After not hearing a word from Josh, I realized I had to go in and do it myself"
"So you... shot Antonio?"
"Yeah..."
As shocked as I was, I was just about to ask her about what had happened to Josh, when the man himself entered the living room with his phone in hand.
"Okay so..." He said and sat down in the chair across from me and Victoria. "I have arranged for your flight, one of my guys will be here tomorrow at 10am, so you need to be ready by then"
Victoria nodded and her eyes flickered between me and Josh.
"He will take you to the airport, and hand you the ticket and passport when you arrive. And it's very important that you don't tell anyone about this."
"Of course" She said, she seemed to be on the verge of a break down.
"My number is stored on this" Josh said and handed her a phone. "You can only call me on it when you land in Texas"
Before we knew it, tears started to stream down Victoria's face.
"I never wanted this to happen" she sobbed.
She wiped the tears away and I scooted over to lay my arm around her.
"It will be okay" I said and stroke her back.
Josh got up and started pacing around the living room, obviously stressed about the whole situation.
"I need to go back to the hotel, and make myself ready" Victoria said and dried her tears after a while, and stood up from the couch.
"It was nice meeting you" I said truthfully. "Thank you for everything"
"Thank you, Lexie, you're very lucky" She hugged me and followed Josh to the door.
I could hear them talk for a while before Josh came back and sat down beside me on the couch.
I rested my head on his shoulder and put my hand in his. He carefully stroke it with his thumb, and we sat in silence for a while.
"Thank you for doing this, you're a very kind man Josh Dun" I said and locked my eyes to his. They were dark and serious, but I could see them warm up just a little after looking at me for a while.
"I owe her my life" he whispered under his breath.
