Arkin POV
The day was pass. Quick-passing days. The medication for the Maven is going continue and so on. But it wouldn't help, but it keeps more painful and harmful. The morning medications also affect to her. It became critical now. I always went to the Maven's house when she was sleeping. I miss her, I didn't see her because of medications and I don't want her to be stressed. I don't want to disturb her. I want to find some hospitals that can cure the Maven's disease. Those we earned in the concert was fully for the Maven's medication. For the sake of the Maven's life.
We keep on living but she was always suffering that leads her to cry every day. The pain, the agony and everything that may harm to her makes my heart breaks. Breaks and keeps breaking when I saw her crying, crying because of pain. I miss her badly.
I have nothing to do but to sit on the sofa and restrained the feelings. This was the first time that I cry for a friend, a friend that I really love. I'm guilty. I want to encourage her even my small hope start to fade.
Despaired and hopeless.
Every day, I keep looking for hospitals. I almost reached far cities just to find the cure for XP. A private hospital that can help Maven to stop her sufferings until, yes! I went at the Faustina University - College of Nursing Medical Hospital.
I always looking for this, I have no absence even a single day just to find this kind of hospital. Looking for a great dermatologist. Looking for a skilled doctor to cure this. Then after that, I go to her family. Nicolette is also there and the Maven was awake on that time. It's the chance!
I enter her bedroom and I found her in her darkest time.
"Hello -- Arkin --" Her voice is completely change. She can't speak clearly now.
"Hi." I answer with strong sadness feeling.
Then I sat on a chair near to her while she was laying on her bed, cover with those thick blanket.
"How are -- you? I -- wish you're okay --," She said as a greet to me. Oh, what happen? I wanted to burst my cry!
"I'm okay. Don't think too much about me, I won't leave you." I answer. Holding her hands, hands that damaged. Her face nearly damage too. Then I looked outside, the lighten part-those sunflowers I gave. "Is that the sunflower I gave to you?"
"Yes --" She said, "I told my -- mom to --," And she cough for three times after telling an unfinished phrase.
"Don't force yourself. It's okay. I understand." Then I smile. Hoping to see encouragement. Waiting for strong appearance but not, she came weaker and loss of energy.
Nicolette went out and she burst her crying for she was very pity on her bestfriend's condition. Nothing to say but to cry out with her feelings. Watching her dying bestfriend, the one dying I really ever loved. It really breaks our heart. Don't lose hope . . .
I keep myself strong and courageous. "I have a good news for you."
"Tell -- me -- Arkin. I wanted -- to hear." She reply.
"I found a medical hospital that can help us to cure your disease. So keep being strong. Tomorrow early morning, we will go there with an ambulance."
She won't answer but she smile. A moment of silence prevail. Then after a seven seconds silence, she start to tell another . . .
"Arkin -- stay with, me."
After I heard this phrase, my heart beats fast. I answer while I am looking on her eyes, "I won't leave you. I promise." Then I look on her parents wiping their tears. The Maven keep on smiling and holding my hands.
