"Betts, I finally did it!" You cried, strolling into the newspaper room.
Her lips curled into a wide smile and she clapped a few times.
"What did you say?" She asked, her eyes wide with curiosity.
"I politely told him to fuck off because I'm a strong, independent woman who doesn't need a lying, cheating boyfriend," you replied, grinning. You both knew what your horrid 'boyfriend' had put you through, it was time to move on.
