I glance at my watch and sigh, just another half an hour and these two should be sleeping properly so I can sneak out.  Or maybe a few minutes, I mean I have been waiting for an hour now. They seem to be asleep, Tamsin is even snoring in a very convincing manner. I glance at their profiles and decide it's time to move. Time to get some real work done. Apparently our 'lessons' start tomorrow and that's when we're given timetables, which ought to be interesting at best. Creeping slowly I prise the door open with a steady hand, careful not to make too much noise. It's clear to me that Fran is a light sleeper because she tosses frequently and jolts a lot whereas Tamsin is quite to opposite. I walk down to the gardens as Harry instructed me to. He steps out of a shadowed area, a smile playing on his face. I glare at him, hand on my hip, not buying his stupid smile because I know he's got something planned. "What is it?" I ask cautiously.

"I love how you suspect me instantly." he says, laughing light heartedly.

"I'm sure you have something planned, something to do with the neighbouring boy's academy?"

"Quite quick, you may make us a good agent yet." he mutters, grinning at my obvious discomfort.

"Well out with it." I demand, anxious to know.

"You no doubt know who this is?" he asks me, showing me a picture of Richard Davidson; millionaire.

"Richard Davidson, I'd have to be living under a rock not to know that!"

"Correct. We believe he may be sending information about his empire to others."

"What's wrong with that?" I ask now confused.

"An amateur question. That's coded language Sass so I can't tell you what it means, but I'm sure you'll figure it out. I think you can gather where this is leading to?"

"He has a son I bet?"

"Correct again. His name is Luke. As you can imagine the Davidson family has a strong security network which you aren't allowed to infiltrate-"

"What do you mean?" I ask, how else am I meant to get the information?!

"All I mean is that there are other ways of gaining access than breaking in as there are many implications if you get caught."

"Hmph. I could do it."

"I don't doubt that but it's a question of whether you'd do it competently." he teases.

"Shut up and brief me."

"You have to gain access into the house without breaking in; it doesn't take rocket science to gather what I am alluding to."

"I have to 'woo' this Luke guy, right?"

"Correct once more. Maybe you aren't as useless as you appear - here is a picture of the lad in case you don't know who he is."

"Right." I mumble, taking the picture of a blond guy. "Harry why didn't I get a proper mission?" I ask quietly as he turns to leave.

"What do you mean?" he asks delicately.

"Any bozo could break and enter into the house to get information and you know that." I say, sighing.

"Think on it Sass, it's quite an obvious answer." he replies, grinning as I scowl at him. "Oh I nearly forgot to tell you about your gadgets."

"Where are they?" I ask him suspiciously.

"Well that's for you to work out I'm afraid."

"What?!" I exclaim, he wants me to find them? Is he for real?

"They've been packed with your luggage, that much is certain." he reassures me.

"Oh sure they have." I murmur darkly.

"Stop being so whiny and listen up. There's a secret camera and microphone which you need to locate as soon as possible because we need to monitor your progress. Starting tomorrow you need to wear these items or else you automatically flunk." he says with a serious look on his face.

"I flunk?"

"You fail. Next you have a laser, an eavesdropping device, a drugging device, a recording device, a series of sharp objects amongst other devices which could come in handy."

"That's it? You don't even tell me everything I have at my disposal?" I ask skeptically.

"In the real world you don't know."

"Fine, but can't you at least give me a hint?" I plead. He looks at me for a while and then nods ever so slightly.

"Look where you wouldn't." he replies and with a wink he walks off. I silently curse him and turn back to walk to my room, seething. Fat lot of help he was. And what is this nonsense about me having to figure out which items are the gadgets? I suppose my first priority should be the camera and the microphone because if I haven't worked them out by morning I'm stuffed. Look where you wouldn't, what in the heck does that mean? I push away my anger as I wander through the gardens, exploring and noting down pieces of information as I go. The fountain seems to be concealing someone but I daren't approach because I don't want to attract attention. Whoever it is seems to be mumbling to themselves so I back track and continue up to my room. Where wouldn't I normally look? I suppose the best way to answer that is where would I look? Most likely my iPod or phone for clues, so that's ruled out. I'd probably also fish out my books and have a good look through them. What else? My jeans, my trainers, the suitcase. Think, think, think! I stop in front of the door and a grin passes over my face, the one place I'd avoid looking? Make-up. A shudder runs through me as I think of this and I carefully open the door. The other two girls appear to be sleeping still so I open up 'my' make-up bag and search it. I empty it on the bed and frown, I have no idea where to begin! I pick up what looks to be lipstick and to my dismay it is so I toss it to one side of the bed. I start to examine other pieces of what they claim is make-up but I've never heard of before - seriously what's 'foundation'? Then I see a mascara and my heart seems to lift a little because when I examine the lid there's a small button, grinning I press it and unscrew the mascara. A red light is glaring into the container, great. I've found the laser! I screw the lid back on and shove the make-up back into it's bag. Where else wouldn't I look? Surely Harry was alluding to more than just the mascara? Maybe I'm asking the wrong questions, what could potentially be a camera? Obviously it's going to be something that I can wear with anything, or at least something portable. Same goes for the microphone. Also the camera would have to be something front facing, earrings maybe? If they were plain studs then I suppose they could go with anything. But that can't be right because studs are the only type of earring I actually wear. What else, what else? I leap off the bed and search around in my suitcase and see an unusual looking brooch. It's some sort of bird I think. I pick it up and see that there's a small indent in it which is not usual and then I realise it's because the camera's lens is there. Grinning at my find I wave at the brooch even though no-one would be watching at this time. Now all I need to find before morning is this microphone. I resort to searching my belongings in a wayward fashion and come across a set of hairpins which are identical to my brooch, how interesting. I look at them carefully and sure enough I find the microphone. Satisfied with having found three out of god knows how many gadgets, I put them away safely and decide to get some shut eye.
