Chapter two: The Boys

Jane’s P.O.V.

I was still lying on my bed when Matthew entered.

“Did those jerks do anything to you?” He asked, he was pacing next to my bed, he seemed to be shaking with anger.

“The boys? No not physically, they just wanted to help.” I told him and patted on my bed.

“Sis, someone did this to you, who was it?” He asked, he stopped walking but didn’t sit down.

“Sweety, don’t fret.” I told him, trying to make him forget about it. I hated those who did this to me but I wasn’t looking forward to my brother taking revenge.

“They hurt my baby sister, how could I not.” He yelled, she started shaking even more.

“Matt, calm down, sit.” I told him and he sat down. I put my arm around his waist like a always did when he needed comforting, somehow he seemed to need it more then I did. Though he was my older brother, by a month, I treated him like a little brother instead.

Now you’re probably wondering how he could be older by a month, well he isn’t my real brother, he was adopted around the time I was born. We had always been close, apart from the time he was 15 he then severed all ties with his family for a while but had come back even stronger and kinder than before. We had written it off as a rebellious phase.

“Don’t act like I’m a child.” He said.

“But you are.” I told him.

“So are you.” He said with a childish tone, meaning he was calming down.

“The difference is I know it.” I told him with a smirk. He started tickeling me which mostly hurt so I didn’t laugh as hard as he would have expected, but I couldn’t make too much sound for it would also make me cry. Sadly enough he noticed. He lifted my shirt and gasped.

“Who did this?”He asked which big eyes, his lips clenched into a thin line, his voice filled with venom.

“Matthew William Seth Karmicle, sit down, and breath.” I told him in a stern voice, he did what I said and I took his hand in mine. “I’m fine, really, I don’t have to go back and this will never happen again, I’ll be just fine after a while.” I gave him a comforting smile.

“This shouldn’t have happened in the first place.” He said.

“Agreed but there is nothing you can do, you can’t always fight back, it will lead to a pointless and endless war, nothing good will come out of it.” I told him.

“You’re to nice, so annoying.” He said with a sigh.

“Oh shut up you big whimp, lie down.” I told him and he lay down next to me. I switched the channels of my television that was still on, I came across the Simpsons, a show we both loved and together we watched it.

“I’m tired.” Matthew said after about an hour.

“So am i.” I told him.

“Good.” He said.

“Howcome that’s good?” I asked him while frowning.

“You won’t have the energy to send me away.” He said as he pulled of his shirt and pants and pulled the covers over him but not without noticing the guy clothes I was wearing.

“Who’s are those?” He asked while rolling on his side to look at me.

“We really need to change this habit of yours, people might get the wrong idea.” I told him. “I stole them.” I told him.
