I will like to comment on this in tumblr but I would like you guys to tell me what you think first.
Ok so here it goes.
So this comment says that the writers forced Hiccstrid in this season but I disagree. I mean fans didn't really complained about less Hiccstrid they were complaining about the patience of waiting for season 4. And if you think about it, this episode was already made. I mean the scripts were done for season 4 when season 2 or 3 were already in Netflix. The animadors just had to do the animation a little. Now that Season 4 was uploaded, the actors of RTTE finished voicing their characters already for the series. I believe the actor who voiced Tuffnut said that he finished recording the final episode of Race to the Edge so that means that season 6 already had a specific plot even before season 4 premiered. So season 4 already had a plot for Hiccstrid. They weren't that forced to just pour hiccstrid there, they already had that planned. I don't know if I am explaining myself good but basically the writers made the storyline of Hiccstrid being canon and official actually was their doing and made sense.
