Chapter 33: Catching Up

Amethyst P.O.V. Next Day, Tuesday
I wake up to the sound of my alarm. I realize that I'm on top of Garnet and that she has her arms and legs wrapped around me. I slip out of her grasp and also notice that we are both naked. I blush and turn off my alarm. "Babe, wake up were gonna be late for my classes and yours." I say and start to lightly kiss her face all over. "Mm Ok ok. I'm up. Let's get ready." She says and gets up and stretches. I can't help but blush because Garnet is so fit with all her muscles and abs on her stomach. "Hey, afterwards, you know I have to go to the gym. Wanna come with me love?" She asks while walking into the shower. "Hmm... I'd love too. After all tomorrow is Wednesday and you know what that means." I say and get in the shower with her. "Mhm. We take a break from each other." She says and helps wash my back. We finish cleaning each other up and singing a little bit. We get out, do our hygiene, and I go and get my car so I can go to the hospital for my early morning check up. I make it to the hospital and a familiar nice lady nurse, Bella, notices me. "Hey Amy, Doctor Thomas is waiting for you in room A-5. Go right ahead." She says. "Thank you Bella." I say and I wave goodbye. I walk into the room and see Doctor Thomas on the computer, putting in some information and data I'm guessing. "Good morning doc. I'm here for my check up." I say and she turns around with a smile. "Yes of course. You can sit down and I'll start. Did you take your pills and tell the truth?" She says with a small smirk. "I didn't because I was in a hurry to get here but I have them." I say while taking them out of my purse. She comes over and puts the cold metal piece of the end of the stethoscope, to my back. I breathe in and out, she takes my temperature, and I go pee in the cup and give it back to her. She reads all my information and does some tests and says "Well, the pill is in your system and it seems you are free to go. You have no vagina infections and the miscarriage didn't do any damage. Tell me, when you pee does it hurt?" She asks me. "No it doesn't. I feel comfortable, I guess." I say and she laughs a little along with me doing the same. "Well, like I said your free to go and I'll talk to you tomorrow morning. Anything happens, don't feel afraid or hesitate to call me alright?" She asks me. "Ok. Thank you." I say and I walk out. I get back in my car and drive back to the campus. I get out and see my friends just sitting at the breakfast table. I quickly go through the line and join Charity, Nixon, Ramon, and Lapis. "So, what's been happening guys?" I ask all of them. "Well, me and Peridot have been going on strong. He has passed all of his classes and he has a chance to graduate 2 years earlier than usual! So, this weekend, I'm gonna go to the small ceremony." Lapis says while eating some strawberries. "That's good. Nixon, what about you?" I ask him. "Well, there is this cute guy that I really like. His name is Tyler Oakland and he is the sweetest guy ever. We hold hands, go on dates, and he even kisses me on my cheek sometimes and holds me by my waist all the time and I don't mind at all." He says while blushing a little. "Awwww that's so sweet Nixy! What's he look like?" Charity asks and everyone else has interest. "Here is my Tyler. Even though, where not dating yet." He says and shows us the guy.

"Damn Nixon, he's cute." I say. "I know right! Sadly he doesn't go here but his college is about 5 hours away and soon, I'm gonna visit him." Nixon says. "That's great. And finally the couple, talk to me." I say referring to Charity and Ramon. "Well, I have to say we have been doing pretty good. She's been keeping me happy and we take like one day away from each other and then we like come running back to each other." He says and we all laugh. "It's true though. I'm addicted to my Ray." Charity says and kisses him on his cheek. "What about you Amy?" Ramon asks and everyone looks at me. "Well, as you all should know, I had a miscarriage and it was Taraji's baby. This was when me and Garnet had that big argument." I said and everyone looks shocked. "Wow, go on." Nixon says. "Well, now since that happened, I have to have a daily check up in the mornings and I gotta take these pills and stuff." I say to them. "Well, how did Taraji react?" Charity asks me. "I don't know because I didn't tell her." I say. "I know you didn't, your wife did." Taraji says outta nowhere. "God damn! Scaring the hell outta me!" I say and put my hands to my heart. "Oh please, drama queen calm down. She told me everything and I understand and shit. I came over here to say I'm sorry that I made you pregnant and that we didn't use protection and I hope that never happens again. I also hope that we will be cool after this and if I seem mean, I'm sorry I started my period this morning and I have no pads." She says trying to keep herself together. "Here, and it's ok. I'm sorry that our unborn child, didn't get born but I'm just not ready and we're not even in a relationship." I said while handing her a pad. "I know. It's kinda funny if you think about it because our friendship will be super strong, I mean, we almost had a child!" She said and she starts laughing and everyone starts laughing too. I get up and hug her and she hugs back. "Well, I need to go and put this on. Thanks again for this and for your forgiveness Amethyst. You are a true friend and I will forever be in your debt and favour. Ever need one, you know to call me." She says and I nod and she walks away. I sit down and Charity says "When I say this, I say it for everyone at this table. Your life, is amazing! I mean, all your problems are always getting solved and I can't help but get a little jealous." She says and everyone agrees. "True, but you guys know my struggles and that's what's makes us family." I say and I raise up my smoothie. "To not only my friends since my day one, but to my FAMILY since day one." I says and everyone rasies there drink and we clink our plastic and glass cups together in a family toast. "I love you guys." I say and take a small sip of my drink. "And we love you Amy." Nixon says and everyone agrees. This right here, this is MY un-biological family. I thought to myself as we all laugh and talk until we part ways to go to our classes.

Garnet P.O.V
Now, it's time for lunch and me and Dolly have already gotten our lunch, now we're back and just sitting at the table. "So sugar cube, how's it been?" Dolly asks while taking a bite of her salad. "I've been doing just fine. Today after classes, me and Amethyst are going to the gym. Look, I gotta tell you something." I say and look at her. "Well, spill it." She says with a small smile. "Taraji got Amethyst pregnant but she had a miscarriage which explains the blood." I say and Dolly turns pale. "Dolly are you ok?" I asked her. "Y-yeah I'm fine." She says and I see tears pour out of her eyes. "Your crying! What's wrong?" I asked and I wiped them away. "When I dated this one guy, I was in love with him and we tried to have a baby, but when I went to the doctor, I found out that I physically can't have a baby." She says with the saddest frown I've ever seen. I pull her onto my shoulder and she silently cries. As I rub simpathetic circles on her back, I say "It's ok I know how you feel. After the whole miscarriage situation, Amethyst cried too because she was afraid that if we try, she wouldn't get pregnant, that she couldn't give it to me, the one thing that I have wanted more than my own life, a child from both of us." I say and I feel tears on my cheeks. I quickly wipe them away and Dolly gets off of me. "We're just a bunch of silly little girls, crying together." She says in that cheery country accent. "Haha I guess we are. Dolly, I've already talked to Taraji about it and she understands. I hope that one day, you guys can have a baby, you know?" I say and she nods. We finish our food and just catch up with everything until the bell rings and we go onto throw out trash away and finish the whole day.

Third Person P.O.V
Basically, later that day, Amethyst and Garnet went to the gym and they had fun working out together, but what they didn't know, was that there was someone or something, watching them. "You found em?" An unfamiliar voice said into Jasper's ear from her ear piece. "Yes sir. I've found the princess." She says and in a flash, is gone.
