Sebastian smiled devilishly as he realized what he had just been told. The moment the words had been ushered from his -now former- master's lips it was like a weight lifted from his shoulders.
'The contract has been terminated' Sebastian thought with sudden childish glee. he no longer had to deal with that brat of a master, no longer tied to him. he was free of all responsibilities. He could do as he pleased with no major repercussions. and he was beyond ecstatic, he just refused to show it to a lowly human.
After the seal of the contract had been removed from the demon and human alike Sebastian was off.
And that's what brought him here. the former Trancy manor, now belonging to the golden eyed demon alone after the -not really- tragic and sudden death of the young Trancy earl. No one really knew how he died except the demons of the Trancy and Phantomhive estates, and that's how everyone intended to keep it.
Sebastian stopped and thought to him self for a moment, 'why am I here again? oh! that's correct, that Claude butler. I believe he would be willing to let me spend the night in his bed.' He smirked as he thought this.
With three loud rasps on the door the raven stood to the side, awaiting the greeting that was sure to come.
the door opened slowly to reveal just the person Sebastian was looking for. with a bow the spider greeted, "good evenin-" Claude paused and stood up straight when he noticed that the raven's young master was no where in sight, "where might your master be? he wouldn't let you come here all alone now would he?"
Sebastian's usually calm and stoic face grew into a large smirk. he held up his left hand, ungloved and unmarked, "the contract has been terminated."
Claude hummed in slight confusion but also with amusement, "a shame you didn't get to devour his soul. so pure and rare. I bet you regret letting him get away." Claude spoke with a slightly malicious tone, his voice holding obvious envy of the perfect soul Sebastian had had possession of. yet the fact that Sebastian had let him go -demon or not- confused him slightly. Sebastian should have been able to find a way to reverse what his master had done, being a powerful demon and all.
"funny you should say that. I got tired of the little brat and figured you owe me." Sebastian stretched the truth just bit by not telling the other demon that Ciel terminated it and not Sebastian. the raven leaned against the door frame, casually picking at his black finger nails.
"do I now? and how exactly would I pay you back?" he raised an eyebrow at Sebastian, waiting for him to continue with his wager.
"Well you can start by inviting me in." he smirked. it wasn't that demons needed to be invited in like vampires or anything like that; Claude was just blocking the door.
Claude nodded and stepped aside, letting the slightly larger demon inside. Sebastian looked around, taking in the much improved manor. from the previous red and gold color it's changed to all black with golden and red accents. Sebastian cant help but think that red and gold was the color of both of their eyes. smiling, he looked back at Claude as he closed the door, locking it as he did, "have you found your mate yet?" he asked softly, seemingly out of nowhere.
Claude's cheeks took on a light pink tint as he looked at the door, calming himself and returning his face to its usual calmness, "I have not." he said in that deep, velvety voice that always drove shivers along Sebastian's spine, "why do you ask?" he slowly turned to look at the other demon, his eyes widening slightly as he saw Sebastian very close to his face, his fingers undoing his tie.
