Riley sits in his room alone. So alone. The music slowly floats into his ears. A cold icy sting rushes through his body at such a rapid pace. He's done it. It's over. Isn't it? No, it's not. He should be gone if it was over. The screams should be gone. They're still here.
He looks down at the bottle and drops it. He failed. He failed at the only thing he counted on doing right. The pills spill out slowly over the plush carpet. No. No. No. He falls to his knees. He can slightly hear a ringing in his ears. His mouth is open but he can't hear his own screaming. The ice has turned to burning pain ripping him apart. Riley is hurt. Riley is mad. Riley was done. His throat stings but he keeps screaming. It's not like anyone will hear him. The house is empty. Well, not fully. His stepdad is out cold downstairs from the booze. Riley kindly puts a blanket on him. It pained him to see somebody he cared for this way. Riley then stole his pills.
All of a sudden, terrible bile fills his mouth. He doubles over and empties his whole stomach. A sharp pain is stabbing at his side. Riley was wrong, the pills are working. They're eating away at his liver. Within five minutes he'll be dead. The pain continues but it's worse. He can't even think straight it hurts so badly. Pressure is increasing in his head and his entire body is convulsing. He feels something come up his throat again. It has a metallic taste to it. Entirely black-red chunks flow out of his mouth. It takes some time for Riley to realize it is blood. He is internally bleeding. He screams again, but this time out of horror. The icy pain is back but it is nothing compared to the pain in his side. Why did it have to be this way? He used to be so happy. He used to be okay. Until that man happened. Riley was healthy. He was happy.
The side of Riley's vision was beginning to fade. Darkness was slowly seeping through. He falls over to his side. Finally, he thinks. Riley can feel a smile on his face before he fades.
