CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

Start from the beginning

Sasha had mixed feelings. Yes, she knew that King would want him to join their ranks because of his skills of power, but she also wanted to kill the motherfucker for killing Zahariel. She pumped another shell into the shotgun's chamber, still trying to make up her mind.

"Sasha Collins...yes I remember you now," The figure stood up with a low chuckle, "What happened to you being very trusting of strangers? Or did Sara finally get you to realize how foolish you were trusting people you didn't know. Although I don't know what all she as able to teach you since she didn't really even trust the people who she did know."

Finally hearing the stranger's voice for the first time, both girls immediately recognized his voice. They both looked over with a shocked scared look in their eyes as if they were about to look the Devil himself, in the face for the first time. As they turned, they watched as he stood up and luckily for them, he didn't bother pulling his hood back on.

Sara saw his face first and a chill went down her spine, "I didn't expect you, of all people, to fall to this outbreak so early...Wade."

Wade stopped in his tracks once he heard the name. Suddenly everything was flooding his head all at once. The pain was more excruciating than anything he had felt in his entire life. Blood to come out of his tear ducts and he dropped to one knee as he gingerly held his head from all of the surging memories.

Sara wasn't expecting this kind of reaction, but she saw this as a chance to get rid of him before things get much worse. She picked up her odd katana and closed the small gap between her and Wade, and without any pause or hesitation, she kicked him to the ground, shoving him to the ground, and raised her katana into the air and dropped it on Wade's neck as she went to decapitate him.

Wade's reflexes were almost twice the speed than they were as he quickly shifted his head, causing her to miss her strike, and the look in his eyes that he gave her was almost like a disappointed father towards his daughter. He stood up and took a step beside her, ignoring her as he continued to make his way towards Benjamin King, once again.

Sara went to stop him but she was elbowed in the gut and had the wind knocked out of her. She dropped to one knee and reached out to Sasha and tried to warn her, but she didn't have enough air in her lungs to say the words out loud, so as she dropped to the ground, she could only mouth the words:

Sasha...run...please.

Sasha read Sara's words perfectly, and as much as she wanted to listen to Sara and get the hell out of there, she still had a job to do by protecting King. She gave Sara a big smile, "I'm sorry, Sara, but I can't." She raised her shotgun and went to shoot Wade in the head, but he caught the barrel of the shotgun before she was able to and threw her out of the window.

Sara suddenly gained the air back in her lungs just in time to watch as Sasha was thrown out of the window like she was nothing more than a rag doll, "SASHA!!!!" She ran to try and catch her sister before she fell out of her grip, but she reacted too slow and barely missed Sasha's hand to catch her from falling and could not look away from watching her sister fall to her death.

Sasha fell from the tenth floor and fell ten stories within the matter of a minute and only stopped after crashing through the roof of an old tool shed from one of the old construction companies that never collected their tools from a construction job ten years ago, but didn't die immediately. She could feel her blood leaving her body from her skull cracking and being impaled through her right arm, directly through her elbow, and she could feel what life she had left slowly ebbing its way away from her. The last thing she saw before her vision faded out were the shards of glass falling to the ground to catch up with her.
