McCune and Jacob both made their way down the hall: Jacob with a broken table leg and McCune with the spare revolver that he took from the cop, they slowly made their way to the stairway that would lead them down to the first floor so they could get out, but were constantly getting blocked off by three to four zombies at a time from out of nowhere, and it was beginning to piss McCune off because since they were trying to be all quiet about their movements, he couldn't shoot the dam gun and end the shit at the drop of the shell casing.
Jacob could see the frustration in his brother's eyes when it came to him not being able to use the gun, and he felt bad, but he also told his brother that he was going to be needing something else to fight these zombie's off instead of just the revolver, but his brother was too stubborn to listen.
TWENTY MINUTES AGO...
"You know that you're going to be needing something other than that gun, right? You won't be able to use it in such a confined area."
"Nah man, I got this. Trust me, this is going to be the other thing I'm going to need."
When they came across their next group of two zombie's, Zach wanted to make a point about what he meant. He took aim, and fired one round into the back of one of the two zombie's head, and it splattered all across the wall that it was beside, the floor and the ceiling. He smiled big, but then he realized what Jacob was talking about when the shot was still echoing down the hallways, and in turn was getting a response back from five other zombie's.
The zombie's wasted no time catching up to them to investigate the noise, and once when they got there, they all spotted the brother and released a rather loud shriek and all made their approach on the brothers. Most of them hobbled their way over to the brothers, while some of them were close to sprinting after them.
Jacob hesitated for a moment, startled at the speed that they were moving, but quickly recovered himself and jumped in front of Zach and swung the broken table leg like a baseball bat and sent the first zombie stumbling backwards, but not out of the game.
Zach, not wanting to get showed up by his brother, simply gripped the revolver by the barrel to turn it into a small club and swung at the zombie that Jacob knocked aside and proceeded to bash its skull in. After he had dealt with that zombie, he turned back to his brother and saw that he was dealing with two zombie's at once and was about to get jumped by a third that was creeping up on him, so he ran and dropkicked the third zombie, forcing it back and crashing through a window and fell to the first floor, smashing its skull on the concrete ground below, as well as snapping it neck. Unfortunately, that caused more noise and could hear more zombie's responding to that.
Jacob tossed Zach aside as a zombie was coming up on him and knocked the zombie into a rather large shard of glass that was still protruding from the window frame that hadn't fallen to the ground yet. He looked behind the last two zombie's but then saw that three more were coming to investigate the sound of the window breaking, refreshing their ranks back to five zombie's, "Zach, we need to get the fuck out of here."
"Right behind you, brother."
Not wishing to continue this fight, they turned in the opposite direction of the zombies and hauled ass down the hall, lengthening the distance between them and the other zombie's. They jumped into a classroom and closed the door behind them.
Jacob looked over at his brother, "Now, do you see why I was wanting you to use something besides the fucking gun?"
"Yeah, I see you're point...but...."
