It took some time, but soon the aid of the walls and objects were no longer needed though their movements were sluggish and far from perfect. As they made it out of the alleyway that they had apparently fallen asleep in or something they noticed the destruction of the city and...they knew nothing about it. They had no recollection of this city looking like this. As they made their way down the street, they noticed someone wondering through the streets and hoping they had some kind answers, but when they approached her, it was apparent that she was in no better shape than he was.
In fact: They were worse.
Whoever she was, or used to be, she was now missing an eye and was split open from what probably looked like the throat down to her pelvis with her left arm broken beyond the possibility of healing and her right leg was backwards.
Concerned with this girl's health, he no longer needed to know what was going and needed to know if she was going to be ok, "Hey...are you....ok?"
The girl turned to him, but didn't respond or anything, she just...walked by him, as if he wasn't even there. She kept "walking" and giving out some weird noise like she was trying to sound like some kind of dying animal.
He was confused. Why did that girl just ignore him? HE understood that she was missing an eye and probably had way more on her mind than he did, but something didn't sit right, it didn't...feel right. It felt like that he should know what's going on right now, but something was keeping that from happening. It was almost like his memory of what was going on was missing. Actually, most of his memory was missing, and out of everything, that was scaring him more than anything else. He took two steps and then something hit him hard: It was his memories.
Or at least fragments of them.
He remembered a school...he...he went to it. One day there was some kind of....outbreak. And then...something was in the shadows...something that...that terrified him.
"...Let me in...there's something I'm Dying to show you."
HE could remember seeing It opening its eyes and all that could be seen were hollow black eyes at first, but as the atmosphere got colder and the room appeared to get darker, slowly red rings slowly began to fade into view.
THIS....IS ONLY THE BEGINNING...
HE could feel a familiar sense of fear resurface to his mind, but it doesn't tell him what happened to him. It didn't help him to remember who he is or why he couldn't remember anything else. He was confused until he heard a voice off in the distance.
"King, you fucking son of a bitch! I'm coming for your fucking head!"
Ja...cob?
"Yeah, that fuckin' right, Jacob, let's go kick his ass!"
Za...Zach?
He looked down the street and saw two semi-bandaged individuals running down the street with guns in their hands. He knew who they were, but he didn't want to say anything, not until he knew exactly what was going on. He followed them slowly and followed them down to the Uptown to a corporate building that looked like it was rather still intact given the surrounding area, which begs the question: Who the hell is this "King" guy?
Zach and Jacob quickly made their way to King's building with a fire within their spirits that hadn't been there in a while, and since Zach told Jacob Why they were going to King's building, Jacob was more determined than ever to kill that son of a bitch. Both of them were in a dead sprint to the building, but couldn't shake the feeling that something or someone was following them.
