CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

Jacob looked over the crowd and saw that they were starting to get pissed, "Now calm down, Children, we're going to be nice enough to come down to you. But I can't promise that you're going to like it." He pulled Zach off of the balcony's railing and headed for the door, leaving the girls behind and meeting up with JT and his group at the apartment complexes entrance.

Once down there, Zach and Jacob both got a better look at the size of the group and knew that even if these guys sucked at any and every kind of combat, they were still going to cut it close, and coming out of it without a scratch was going to be impossible.

Jacob chuckled, looking at Zach, "I'll take the one hundred to the left. You take the one hundred on the right."

"Fuck you, I'll take one hundred and one."

"That's the spirit."

JT snapped both of his fingers to make them point at the two of them, giving his "dogs" the order to attack with no restriction or limitation to their movements.

Ironically, calling them "Dogs" was mildly appropriate as they charged at both Jacob and Zach, wanting to desperately rip them to pieces so they'll be able to go back home and not be made a laughing joke within the building. Pulling no punches, as they were within their dead sprint towards the two of them, some of the ones with guns began to shoot at Jacob and Zach, hoping that they'll be able to kill them quickly, without losing some of their men, but were hoping on losing none.

Jacob and Zach separated and scattered around in the area to avoid the gunfire, quickly diving into the mob of their own guys to create confusion as to whether or not to fire at them.

Zach weaved through the mob, and came up behind one of the ones with a gun and quickly snapped their neck, and grabbed their gun before they fell and shot two more of them in either their throat or their neck. When the clip in the handgun was spent, he spun the handgun around and pistol whipped one of them in the side of the face, distracting them as he threw the handgun at the last one that held a gun, creating enough time for him to close the gap between them before the shooter would be able to do anything.

The shooter did as Zach wanted and turned to face him. As he did, he watched as Zach pulled out his shillelagh. He went tried to aim his handgun at Zach, but he knew he wouldn't have time, so he did what Zach didn't expect and jumped to the left to avoid getting hit by Zach's shillelagh. Once when he was out of Zach's reach, he aimed his handgun again and shot him in the shoulder.

Zach ignored the shot in his shoulder and grabbed the guy by hi shirt and brings him in for a head-butt. After they connected skulls, he wasted no time bringing his shillelagh back up and began to bash his skull in until there was nothing left but a red mush with chunky bits of what remained of the skull. Unfortunately, he couldn't savor or enjoy the kill he had just done since he and Jacob were still having to fight off the other thugs.

Jacob caught a baseball bat that was coming at him that had barbed wire wrapped all around it, and directed the bottom end of it into the thugs abdomen with enough force to cause the thugs to lose his grip on it. Jacob spun the bat around swung the bat upward, slicing him up from the wire and breaking the thug's bottom jaw as it connected and sent him into the air. Acting solely on reflex and survival instincts, HE grabbed the bat on both ends and spun and blocked a machete. He yanked the bat back, forcing the thug to lose balance in his footing as he stumbled forward, along with the machete, and clotheslined him. He quickly took out the machete and stabbed the thug in the throat. He looked around and saw that they were slowly getting surrounded. His breathing was labored and his chest was starting to burn as he wiped sweat from his forehead.
