The beautiful view of the sunrise fills my eyes as I lie there in awe, watching the oranges and pinks fill the sky.
Damn it, I fell asleep again in the hammock.... but I guess that is not a bad thing. I just love the feeling of the breeze prickling my soft golden skin. This is truly what I have been waiting for. But I cant help but feel that there is something missing, let alone that I still have nightmares about him.
But today is different, today I am making a vow too never look back on my past, I am living my dream, this is my future and I will not let my past haunt me. This is were it stops.
Suddenly I feel a cold and wet feeling on my body. I gasp loudly, swiping the water of my eyes before opening them too reveal my recent best friend, Kilia as she wipes her wet hands on her summer dress from throwing water at me. Her and her parents grew up in Hawaii and she just never fails to put a smile on my face.

I hadn't told her anything about my past but only that this was my dream and I have achieved it by being here!
"Hellooo anna!" She sang with a cheerful smile. Whenever she smiles, it makes me smile. "what on earth Ki ki!" I sing back a bit more grumbly but with a little giggle at the end. This girl never stops making me laugh even when they throw water on me.
I don't let anyone call me Rose as a nickname anymore, to be honest I just prefer Rosanna but Kilia and I have a little thing so I let her call me Anna for short now.
"How have you been holding up girl" Ki Ki says as she sits on my lap on the hammock, looking over the beautiful sunrise on the beach. "Pretty well, hey you know what we should do today?" I say with excitement evident in my voice with a cheeky grin too top it off. "What? Tell me tell me!" She says with a wide grin, almost touching her ears with joy in her eyes.
"We shou-" I start but get cut off by the loud knocking on my door through the beach house. "Ugh ill be right back, hang on" I say as I get up. I do a little leg stretch before carrying on through the open floored house.

As I am about to reach my hand out too open the door, I hesitate. His face flashing across my mind.
"No, no, don't think about this now Rosanna, not now" I quietly scold myself.
Knock knock
The knocking brings me out of my trance, locking eyes with the door handle I take a deep breath and open it.
As I open it I hesitantly open my eyes and lock them with these beautiful blue ones. All of a sudden all the oxygen has seem too have left my area as I just stand there looking into these eyes. These eyes are just wonderful, so so beautiful, I had never seen such beautiful eyes in all my life.
"Uh excuse me..." this beautiful eyed person says as he lets out an awkward cough signaling that he would like my attention.
"Oh uh yeah sorry, um come in?" I say as more of a squeaky question. Damn I am such an awkward person! I mentally face palm myself and take a moment to look at his face. And WOWZAwhoever this dude is... he is hawwwwwt! Okay stop it Rosanna you retard your just embarrassing yourself.
We just stand there for a good couple minutes, looking at each other and daymn he looks like a greek god, his golden skin, ocean blue eyes, dirty blond hair, perfectly shaped eye brows, chiseled jaw, plump lips, perfect nose. And I though no one could top Justin Bieber?
"Cough cough" I hear Kilia say sarcastically behind me. I intake another deep breath before turning around to face Kilia.
"Oh er sorry" I say with a small open mouthed smile and step out the way for this gorgeous guy to enter. Obviously I had just embarrassed myself big time because he doesn't look too pleased as he enters and shuts the door behind him.
"Um Rosanna this is Kai, Kai this is Rosanna" Kilia introduces us as we both acknowledge each other with a cringy nod and all awkwardly stand there for a while.

After I swear a couple minutes go by I finally speak up. "Uh so you two know each other?" I ask and they both nod and hum in approval in sync. I resist the erg to roll my eyes and ask how they met.
"Can you not ask so many questions? Jeez if you would just leave us alone that would be great thanks, I hate nosy people" Kai angrily announces and glares daggers at me whilst I stare jaw open at the ground.
"Fine with me" I say in a sarcastic cheerful tone. As I am about to walk away Kilia stops me by grabbing my upper arm. Instantly memories of that night came crashing into my mind like a tsunami. (The flashback is on the prologue) My heart leaps and without thinking I slap Kilia in the face. "STOP!" I screech as tears poor down my face and I bring my shaking hands too my face and crouch down to Kilia as she sits on the floor holding her sore cheek in her hands as a tear comes down her face. "Kilia! Kilia!" "Rosanna! Rosanna!" He shouts. I scream again as I remember what he said that night. As I fall in a crying heep I see Kai kneeling down too Kilia. "What have you done, you bitch!" I hear Kai shout. "What's wrong with you, you cry baby!" I hear him again.
Just as I muster enough courage to get up and defend my self I hear the phone ring.
"Kai get it please" I see Kilia beg him. Kai glares at me as he walks past me too were the phone is, mumbling profanities along the way.
I hear him answering and after a few words he says "Rosanna this phone call is for you" he says still giving me death glares.
"Who is it from?" I ask wiping tears off of my cheeks.
Kai rolls his eyes before replying "from Williamson Industries"
