Chapter 15

                                                                 ^ Atlas' suit <3

                                               ^ Team suits

POV Madison

We packed our things and put on our suits. Everyone had a slightly different suit, but they were all colored the same, black. Cain, Hugo and Diaz needed strong suits for the heavy work, Sam needed to take a lot with him to medic, Brooke got loads of ammo, her rifle and more weapons that were useable from a distance. My own suit was light and easy to move in, my katana hung on my back, GPS on my arm, a few knives on my upper right leg, on the left leg I had a little pocket full of stones, some grenades on the back of my belt, and night vision glasses, in case it's dark inside. I wore light sneakers, I was tight and lightly packed so I wouldn't make a noise. Atlas was also wearing a tiny suit which was adorable. We went to our helicopter, got in and took off.

Diaz started talking. "Okay when we land Cain, Hugo, Sam and I will take the North entrance after we wait for 2 minutes. "Brooke the heli will drop you off on a high tower, which is attached to more towers near the mall, from there you have the perfect place to help us from above." Brooke nodded. "Madison, you will be dropped off at the roof firstly, from there you can scout the building. You get 5 minutes to report which way we have to take." I nodded. We sat in silence for a few minutes. "1 minute 'till first drop off." Our pilot said through the speakers. "So you're just gonne drop me?" I said a bit confused. "Oh yhea, Madison you have to jump out of the helicopter, it's not very hard we'll fly low." Our pilot said calming. I stood up and Atlas stood beside me. The trapdoor opened and I jumped out, followed by Atlas. My feet made contact with the ground, I rolled, got up and turned around to the helicopter. Brooke was waving like a happy spaz. I grinned and waved back. I put my ear piece in while petting Atlas, he looked at me. "Mad, was your landing okay?" I heard Diaz through the piece. "Yheaa, I'm going in now, I'll report in 5 minutes." I opened the rooftop door and walked down. "Atlas, scout." I whispered while silently running through the halls. According to my GPS I had to go left, take the stairs down, then a few hallways and then I could see the center of the mall. Cooper and his team were in a barricaded store. "I'm in position, Mad you don't wanne take the right side, its full of them." She said through the earpiece. I ran through the hall ways while putting on my glasses. I slid to a halt when I saw Atlas laying on the ground watching the right hallway, he looked at me and silently glided back. I peeked in the right hallway. There were a lot of cranks. I was standing against a door, which was open, and there was a lock in it. Mhhm, idea. I opened it, parked Atlas and myself behind the door, and threw some stones in the room. I soon heard gurgling and footsteps, the cranks ran inside. I quickly closed the door, and saw that the hall was empty. Mwah! Not bad. Shit, only 2 minutes left. "Atlas, search cranks!" he ran off and I quickly followed him. I went down the stairs, through the hallways while avoiding the cranks and finally reached the center. It was a big mall, like a big plaza with shops around and like 4 levels. Now, I was hearing a lot of gurgling. I closed the door behind me in case a crank had spotted me and silently walked to the edge and leaned on the fence. I wasn't happy with what I saw. The ground level was overwhelmed with cranks. They were all banging on the same store. That was probably were Cooper was. Other cranks were eating from a corpse. I was now running to the shop above the store were Cooper was hiding. "Mad, what's your situation?" Guess the 5 minutes were over. "Ground floor is impossible to go through. I'm looking for a route on the second floor, but we might have to blow stuff up. Try to take the west entrance on the second floor, and stay silent." I whispered. I reached the place. The sides, which were made from glass were all broken. Atlas scouted the right side while I did the left. Every crank is probably downstairs trying to eat Cooper. I brought my head to the floor, started tapping on it and did this for a few minutes. Knock! Aha! This piece here, is hollow, which means, its easily blown up. I looked around and saw some magic markers. Yaay karma! I highlighted the hollow piece and walked out of the shop. Only to see Cain, Hugo and Diaz standing on the other side of the mall looking down. Cain noticed me and beckoned the rest. The walked my way while I leaned on the fence. "You okay?" Cain asked worried while laying a hand on my back. I straightened myself. "Yhea, why?" "You look a bit pale." Diaz stated. I shrugged. "I found something, follow me!" I showed them the highlighted area and Diaz made a plan. "Okay, so we are going to bomb this and leave through the window, we are going to hold them off while you and Hugo help Cooper and his team. This has to be very fast, because we can't hold them off very long." He talked to us and through his headset to Cooper and Brooke. "Okay everyone step back and prepare." Hugo said while planting the bomb. The thing blew up and the gurgling immediately got worse. "Quickly throw the rope down!" we heard one of the soldiers say. I heard gunshots from behind us, while getting everyone out of the hole. "Hurrry!" Diaz yelled. Hugo had put a rope down out of the window, where you would land on another rooftop. Then we would have to run over the rooftops to the helicopter. The sick ones went first, and lastly Cooper, Hugo and Cain followed. "Diaz hurry come on!" I yelled while taking my katana out and slicing some cranks in 2. I pulled Diaz back and threw a grenade at the stream of cranks. Unfortunately, the whole room got a big impact, and the already unstable wall was now falling apart. I put Atlas in Diaz hands and pushed him out of the window. I felt the floor disappearing under my feet. I put down 2 more cranks and jumped after Diaz. Only to find he was already down and now I was falling down. I prepared myself for the uncomfortable landing only to find myself in 4 strong arms. "We wouldn't want you to fall to your death." Cain said with a wink. Diaz chuckled, they put me down and we started running for the helicopter. "The helicopter is full, we have to go for the other one!" Diaz yelled. "If we jump down over there we can sprint for the heli!" Hugo yelled. They boys jumped down while I beheaded some more cranks. I jumped after them and we ran to the open field, where the other helicopter had landed. The boys were much slower than me due to their suit. "Keep running, I'll catch up!" I said while lowering my pace. "Madison are you mad!? You are going to get yourself killed!" Diaz yelled. "No I'm not." I said smirking. "I have a Brooke." And then I heard the gunshots and cranks fell down. I started to wound the cranks in this way, that they couldn't chase us anymore. There were a lot of cranks, and more were coming. "Mad, in 1 minute I have to leave for the heli, be prepared."  I heard Brooke through the earpiece. Hugo, Cain and Diaz were also shooting from a distance. "Help me!" I heard someone yelling. I looked to my left and saw one of the soldiers stumbling away from the building. I put away my katana and ran to him, I lifted his arm over my shoulder and started running to the heli, the rest was backing me up. The cranks were now gaining on us, which I didn't notice. Suddenly the soldier screamed loudly and I saw how a crank bit him in the shoulder, another one bit him in the leg, another crank bit him in the jaw and more came to him. They were eating him alive. I quickly let him go while almost tripping over. He was screaming and there was blood every were. I stumbled back and sprinted to the heli. Everyone was already sitting in it with their arms out for me to reach. I jumped at the arms, which pulled me in and I felt how it took off. I was panting like crazy, while I was trying to rub the blood off... I could still hear those horrible screams.

Well just 2 days after the original update-day... Could be worse hehe... Whoops
