Author's Note: Hey guys! Just a brief preface to this chapter. First of all, unlike most of my other chapters, this one is actually really long, so take it easy. Second of all, everything in here is completely original. Nothing here is plagiarized, and if you're confused by what I mean, you'll see if you just read. ;)

"Hey, you're back again." Lily smiled. She was sitting on the same bench that she did the night before.

"I could say the same thing to you." Day replied, entering the peaceful meadow. The sky was dark and clouded, but the moon still found it's way out. "Here," Day extended his hand to Lily as he approached her. He unveiled a can of soda.

"Thanks." Lily opened her can as Day sat down next to her with a soda of his own. They just sat there for a while, carefully sipping their sodas. A light breeze picked up, and a few crickets began their nightly serenade.

"So what's up?" Day broke the silence. "Anything big happen today?"

"Yup," Lily rested her soda on the bench and turned her gaze to Day. "I met your friends."

"Oh yea!" Day replied as he relaxed in the bench. "So what do you think of them? Quirky, right?"

"I like them," Lily smiled. "They're pretty cool in my opinion."

"It's nice to see that you like them," Day returned the smile. She picked up her soda again and began sipping it. "I'm sure you'll get along with all of them."

"I hope so," Lily sighed. Day looked up at the clouds, searching for a star.

"Say, where are you from?" Day asked.

"It's kind of in the middle of nowhere." Lily replied. "Why do you ask?"

"Well," Day shrugged. "We might as well get to know each other."

"I suppose." Lily looked deep in thought. "I'm from a Aldrenia. It's a small island in the West. It's got two cities, and lots of mountains. It's nice there." She sipped some more of her soda. "So where are you from?"

"Nowhere important," Day smiled. "It's a secret."

"Hey, that's not fair." Lily pouted. "I told you where I'm from."

"Just kidding," Day poked her. "I'm from a small coastal town to the East that you've probably never heard of. It's called Howard's Bay. It was always super lively there."

"I wish I could visit," Lily leaned back in the bench a bit.

"I wish so too," Day smiled. "I would've shown you all the best spots. Especially this one burger joint called Dill's Pickles."

"Dill's Pickles?" Lily smirked.

"Yeah, it's a funny name, isn't it?" Day felt a cool breeze brush against him. "I hope it still exists."

"What do you mean?"

"Howard's Bay got caught in the war." Day frowned. "It's part of why we left."

"Oh," Lily replied quietly. "I'm sorry."

"Nah, don't be," Day gave Lily a reassuring smile. "The people living there are too strong to be defeated in some silly war." Day's words lingered in the air for a bit. They sat there silently, just sipping their sodas.

"Day?" Lily asked.

"Mm?" Day tilted his head to her.

"Are the stars out tonight?" She looked up at the sky. The clouds still blanketed the sky, with only the moon's shine coming through.

"No, not tonight," Day replied. "The clouds are covering them."

"Oh," Lily frowned as she finished her soda. She stood up and looked at Day. "Well, it's getting late - I'd better go."
